Molasses Flush

There a tons of people giving bad advise too, even the guy who started the thread doesn't say it will taste like molasses, he says it will help sweeten the taste a little.

The sugars in the Molasses, once absorbed by the plants roots, is then shot up to the plants buds/leafs and processed.. therefore.. if you use it properly and weekly.. by harvest time comes around, the sugars from the Molasses.. have gotten trapped inside the buds (trace elements) and that's where they stay.. therefore making the taste/smell of the buds just a little bit sweeter.

Honestly, you are in no place to be giving advice on whether it works or not since you have never tried it. So once again, I must insist that you try it and report back your results.

Unless you would like to experiment to see if molasses adds to the flavor and smell of your weed, then I would go with a pure water flush.

In soil... Me no flush...
GF wants to use only water for last week before harvest... IDK-she's a flusher...
I am not over feeding...
Hydro...me no hydro... so I will not offer an opinion based on hear-say...
Molasses I use in bud room, 1/2 strength....

Wait a minute, I just realized something. According to this smartass, If I use molasses in my OG grow, MY OG is gonna taste like a cookie and not OG. Does this even sound like reality? I mean come on. It's gonna taste like OG,right?

Dude, I would prefer not to hijack this guys thread. But yes, I read that you used molasses, but I doubt you used it right before harvest like what is required to change flavor and smell. I'm not a professional botanist but I do have many years of growing experience.

Try it out! I have heard of people using pineapple juice or extract and having it work for them! I personally have not tried pineapple but I might have to soon!

Ok, so let me see if I understand the flushing arguments:

1) The pro molasses faction says the molasses gets sucked up into the plant and makes the smoke sweeter.

vs.

2) The purified water flushers say that somehow the root system runs backwards and the nice clean water sucks out all the bad salty nutrients and makes for a sweeter smoke.

I'm going to have to spark another bowl (of unflushed bud) and think about this. Cause it just doesn't make sense.

Well I use molasses the first 3 days of flush and just plain water for 4-5 days. The molasses helps leach out the salts in the media rockwool or soil. As for not flushing you'd better be growing organic because all the synthetic nutes have heavy metals and you don't want to be smoking that. And if you're not sure go to the manufacturers website and read the MSDS info here's some pics of my last grow which I harvested Jan 30th
