same here..Learning is good - I just don't like missing potential.
Round where I live, most dealers are ignorant of the bud they sell.
I think they think unflushed weed tasting only of nutrients is 'pukka bud'..

personal use m8 not interested in making cash.I can only assume that you are a competent grower and have the knowledge and experience
I suppose it all depends on the grower, if he is doing it for the cash and he is desperate, then yes, he needs the best possible weight and product now.
If he is growing it for personal smoke, and it is his hobby, then I would think he would be best part harvesting and taking notes of what they look like before they are chopped and wet weight. Then after the dry and cure is finished test the dry weight with the taste and effects of the high.
This will give him knowledge to build on next grow.
Oil based nutrients need flushing from hydro growsFlushing?
Flushing is a MYTH! Hippie logic from the 70's.....
PROPER CURE, proper cure, proper cure!
Why stop feed at the most important time?
The plants potential cannot be reached now!
Name me ONE thing that gets flushed for human consumption?
The best cigar tobacco's are carefully dried and cured - NO flushing.....So why Cannabis?
There is NO scientific fact to back flushing!
Properly cured, unflushed weed, tastes like perfect weed - perfect burn and perfect ash...
Doc
You just opened the biggest can of worms on this site!
I said my piece and will not comment on it further - others most likely will.
Oil based nutrients need flushing from hydro grows
I know from past experience (1st hydro grow in wilma) that it tastes like chemicals if not flushed properly.
I agree that there is no need for flushing organic soil grows, but hydro, in my opinion it is essential.
I think you have been around top quality weed for too long, get yourself out into the inner cities and sample some of the bud..you maybe very surprised at the state of the quality on offer
then I would take a bud every few days..look at the consistency and the triclones colouring, dry and cure it..then sample it. ( take notes, or if you are like me, you will forget)personal use m8 not interested in making cash.
mate honestly i get 100% what your saying and should be following it like an order but i'm one lazy mother fecker lol i find it hard work watering every 2days lol. soz but got to disagree with flushing, i've never flushed and cant say i get a chemical taste, plus the fags already fuck up the health part lolthen I would take a bud every few days..look at the consistency and the triclones colouring, dry and cure it..then sample it. ( take notes, or if you are like me, you will forget)
The difference in the high and taste is quite significant, and you can then taylor it to suit your own personal taste in subsequent grows.
you can get it just how you like it then.
My personal taste is left a little longer so mostly amber triclones..but most growers round here take it down at least a week too soon because they are only in it for the money. (why not? it sells just as well)
thanks
No worries matemate honestly i get 100% what your saying and should be following it like an order but i'm one lazy mother fecker lol i find it hard work watering every 2days lol. soz but got to disagree with flushing, i've never flushed and cant say i get a chemical taste, plus the fags already fuck up the health part lol
i'm the type that needs one too wake up lmao sorry for the slow replys m8 on the famous grouse and blue cheese yes vitalink medium, it's been good too me. i used b&q verve before but decided to go with a medium that was more suited too cannabis since i was using the same nutrients. no never tasted bud from hydro any good? better taste? No worries mate
We all have our own opinion
I think most of us are 'laid back' smoking the herb
I dont have a refer until if done all my shit, otherwise it doesnt get done! ha ha
do you grow in soil?
are you familiar with the taste of weed that has not been flushed from hydro?
I really dislike the taste and it ruins my smoking pleasure when I score chemical bud ha ha
Take a picture of this weird growing cola...everyone just stop the flushing talk so this thread can livei'm the type that needs one too wake up lmao sorry for the slow replys m8 on the famous grouse and blue cheese yes vitalink medium, it's been good too me. i used b&q verve before but decided to go with a medium that was more suited too cannabis since i was using the same nutrients. no never tasted bud from hydro any good? better taste?

Oh, we're used to it!ha ha
A mate of mine is a black cab driver and he too has a joint for breakfast and continues all day and finishes with a joint for bed, he has been smoking like this for 20+ years..
never had an accident yet.
No worries about the replies, I too can only respond when I get time.
In my opinion, hydo grown weed is quite inferior compared to organic soil unless tinctures are used within the hydro setup from a taste point of view.
Im sorry, I dont mean to derail your thread, I will stop commenting on flushing in this thread if you like?
I clearly mean the taste of the nutes when smoking a joint, and it CAN have that horrible taste that I have tasted so many times.Buahaha flushing, the "feel good routine"
I won't comment my usual bit on flushing, but I will say this.
The "I don't want to taste chemicals" crowd is very ignorant. Chemicals are all around us. The water you drink and use on your crops is a chemical. So is the air you breathe.
With that said, any and every chemical can be safe and completely toxic.
It's the dosage that matters. Other than that read the thread doc shared.
It was just an article I posted, highlighting that there are other opinions out there. Now for THIS, I will break my "no reply" rule and say this.
You've got to be fucking kidding me! Big Buds mag is nothing but a PROPAGANDA forum for Advanced Nutrients (more like advanced wallet drainers) to out right LIE about their products and what they do! The use of any "clearing, cleaning or flushing" agent does NOTHING but remove your money from your wallet!
Advanced Nutrients are like Politicians. They know if they repeat the LIE enough. People will begin to believe it!
AN is the lowest form of corporate life. Nothing matters but their profit!
Yes, I read the piece, I like a good comedy but, That was simply full of lies, BS and lacked actual science!
They are counting on you not to actually have understanding on just how a plant works on a scientific scale. They now baffle you with Bull Shit and scare you into using their expensive - doesn't really do anything product.....
The thread link I gave touch's on that actual science and if you click on the colored links to Riddle's research. You too can read the actual science and have a world of truth blind the lies and BS of Nutrient makers!
Do yourself a REAL favor and take the time to read FULLY, Riddles posting.....those who argued with him...well, you can tell they either didn't or are simply,,,,,,mmmm,,,,,,slow..
Doc
Each to their own eh mate?Oh, we're used to it!
Flushing is a major issue here.
AN is the other.
LOL
You're cool bro!
