Nice boss man! And check this out based on my experience...

If you LST well enough and stay on top of it from the start, there will be no need to SCROG, but you can if you want to.
It's just more work moving around the net and whatnot. But a good LST will give you the same results as a SCROG will, in less time.
The F.I.M. cut I'd recommend because plants freak out growing new flower sites when you do it! Some say some plants don't respond well, but I haven't had the issue yet. But I haven't been on that long either so that ain't saying much....
But I planned to LST and SCROG and I acually did use the trellis for a bit, it just became too much when watering and trying to move the leaves around :/

But nice that we're on the same wave bro. One things for sure, with you learning and me learning and us bouncing shit back and fourth, we both get to the point quicker! I'm happily tucked into my corner of RIU with lots of help around me bro, and the same goes for you as far as I'm concerned!

And I untied my girls at the beginning of week 5 flowering, as that's when they were done strecthing! That stretch is really insane bro! A good LST will keep it to a minimum. I mean it can REALLY surprise you how fast they can get tall bro! You gotta train a lot to keep the plants short for a small space.

I just got my hands of a copy of the E-book from the start of this thread "Buds for less than $100" and I've ready through it twice today. I was really pumped when I found this thread I spent three days read the entire thread any time I had a free moment. I've got a nice list of people to chat with about everything about growing, I was talking to the wife about this thread and this site say how I love that it's just a giant think tank that is absolutely free. Now that I'm getting my feet wet and I've got two ladies starting now, so everyday is a new spot on the learning curve.

So it looks like I'm doing CFL's instead of HID, I picked up three 125W CFL's with a batwing and two sockets with cords for $50 off craigslist. So this is what I think I'm going to build, I decided to use one of the bigger dressers in my house. This one is 62" x 18" x 36" interior space, and I'm going to attempt to grow three plant with LST, and F.I.M. What do you think about this design? Can I grab a few of those books from you 420? it never hurts to have some extra reading for when i run out.

That's a hell of a deal bro! And 3 125's will get you where you need to be for sure! And that dresser seems ok for 2 plants for sure, but 3 might be pushing it bro!

yea they were on for $75 and i took a shot in the dark and offered $50 the guy took it. It looks like i'm changing the box up a bit and adding the third 125 I have and i'm going to take the three 65W bulbs out of the box, then i'm going to ad 4 more 23W to the sides. I'm only going to try and grow two plants under around 550W so it should work out well. I am going to try and focus all of my energy on training these firls and i'm going to try and get at least 2 o's per plant. I don't doubt i can do it especially with the support on RIU. Thanks for all the help, and i will definitely let you know when I have my journal up and running.

I haven't seen you until just the past couple days, but with an open mind like you seem to have, you are sure to get plenty of suggestions and very little trolling. (Hopefully)
A lot of times, I just sit and read, not even saying anything, unless I have a suggestion that hasn't been mentioned yet, but there are a lot of good guys here that I LOOK for, to see their opinions and experience.

Man the 1ks are killing em,Stems as big as my pinky finger.Tday makes 6days under them and another week and they will be 1 month from sprout.
I usually use a 400Mh for vegg and 6-8 weeks of veggin to reach the 2ft flip.
Think i can reach the 2ft now in 5 weeks,and thts with a heavy indy strain,tht grows alot more stocky.
There getting really bushy,Wish id used the 1ks from the 2nd week on now!! I fimed almost all of them,but im sure I didnt get em all perfect so il have a few with just a Topjob,lol.

Did I tell you when I chopped mine, it reminded me of a thread a few weeks ago where a guy asked if hollow stems were normal?
All but a couple of my stems could have been used like the thick McDonalds straws after I cut them with side cutters.

I was just thinking about the next running and vegging with my T5H0....
Do you use CFLs for the first week before you throw them under the MH?

And as far as plant training goes, Im gonna go ahead and suggest you looking into topping early and then just letting it grow the 4/8 main colas from there!
I found out about it here at one on UncleBens threads. But based on the way my Critical Jack and White Widow are growing, I don't plan on doing anything else anymore, unless I try mainlining.
But I feel like I could end up with 2 ounces from my critical jack, which only got one week 18/6 boss! It hasn't even hit the stretch yet and you see how developed it is?! I'll post some more pics here soon, but that method will save us a lot of time an work I think boss! As well as space given the fact everything remains within the diameter or the pot...So you grow as many plants as pots you can fit!

And that White Widow that was once stunted....pfffff she's looking like she's gonna put out in the same fashion as that Critical Jack!
Both we're topped only once and after the 2nd and 3rd true nodes on the main stem. The product is REALLY similar to mainlining without the stress from the training!

If you got any early veggers with maybe 5/6 nodes, cut a couple back and watch what happens! Assuming you haven't already..

I'm planning on building of the early topping as a foundation tho!
