You're not foliar feeding, by accident, are you?

Only add nutrients to the root area
If spraying the foliage (for humidity)
use only PURE water (EC0.1 at the max).

This way the roots have no choice than to go search for nutrition.

I had 24 cuttings remain without roots for over 3 weeks
because I was misting the prop dome with nutrient water....
You live, you learn.

Just cut a 16 oz red cup in half and fill the bottom half with regular tap water and sit your clone in it with leaves hanging out the top half. i Switched to this method and have had a 100% rate so far and I've cloned over 80 clones all sizes. Just fill the cup back up as it gets low. Never let it run out. I always have to refill about every 2-3 days. Before I was using a Aero which was great about 85% rate but i got tired of switching frozen bottles to keep water temp down and when I forgot to do it my stems would go brown. With the cup method just sit your clone far as possible from the light and within 5-7 days your stem will be flooded with pure white bumps couple days after roots everywhere.

what the hell happened to a mother plant, cuttings, clonex, pellets, a pure water foilage spray........i clone this way for years at about 98% and around 15-20 generations.....u can use a mother plant or not, just a large female from either feminized seed or another clone.....cut the bottom tops or grow tips w/e u want to say.....cut the tips of the cuttings fan leaves to concentrate on rooting alone, have a pre-soaked pellet ready, make a 45 degree cut with either scissors or some ppl even use razor blades, dip it in some Clonex, push down into the pellet (firmly, like halfway), place in bio-dome, repeat about 30 times, place bio-dome on heating mat, when u wake up spray the leaves, before u go to bed spray the leaves......after about 7 days pick up each cutting by the stalk and check for roots, u see roots.... put into soil, u dont see them gently pulll on the stalk, if it remains sturdy u probably just need to wait a little longer, wait until u see roots and voila u got 30 new little guaranteed female plants......it really is that easy

If you use a cup without cutting it you will have to take a pretty long cutting from your lady. You want your stem to rest on the bottom of the cup. So that way the bottom inch of your stem is always moist. Also yes HPS will work I use HPS AND MH. I just put my clones in the corner of the tent. Most of them get shaded by the other ladies.

Cheers mate I just don't have a heat mat or bio dome etc if I'd knew all this beforehand I would've did all this myself I relied on sum1 else which backfired

No don't add anything. You are doing the same thing I was when I first started cloning. The less you do the better. You don't need a dome because the stem is already in contact with water. Just cut then put right in to the cup and put off in the corner. Also If the fan leaves start looking sick and weird its normal DONT remove the leaves. The leave will turn yellow and brown. The roots will suck the energy from the leaves to create new roots Its normal. Just put fresh tap water in cup don't have to be left out or anything . No roots so ph and food is not to be worried about until you get roots.

If you not sure about cloning in a cup. Do what I did when I first tried this clone experiment. I just used a branch from a Orange bud plant I had that broke off by accident. I just threw it in a cup to test it out and in 2weeks I had bright roots longer then 8". Once you start getting bumps you want to keep your water level above where ever the root bumps are on the stem.

so bumps will form on the stem right? Ile do exactly what ya sayin here then after that just put them into soil right? The hps is about 2 ft away shud I keep them directly under it as they are now or raise the light away even more? Cud probably get 5ft away humidity and nothing matters ATM?
