I decided with all of the other problems in my flower box I would transition my Wembley to flower today. Hopefully it's yield will make up for the decreased yield of my 24/0 flowering accident.
I just got done training her around a CCOB cage but I am gonna try something different this time. I cut more off the bottom legs as the smart pot is shorter than the pails I have been using and left the top/2nd ring of the cage on. I am going to try and be more proactive in my training during the stretch to try and separate all the side branches as they turn themselves into meristems. I will guide them and tie them off with soft wire as they stretch their way up and around the cage. I liked the idea so much I pulled the single layer CCOB cage from my wonder woman in flower and re-trained her around a new taller cage.
Pics coming later today of the training and various magnesium deficiency problems. The wonder woman's big fan leafs are already curling and being burnt from the magnesium issue and she is barely a week into the flower box (but spent most of it in 24/0).
I also soaked a World of Seeds: Afghan Kush Special seed today.

That order pretty much doubled my inventory and I only germ about 3 seeds per month. I should be good for the next 5 - 7 months.
Oh darn, I forgot to order 1 or 2 auto-flower seeds.

I am making some QWISO hash right now with 10g of afghan trim and 10g of chronic trim. I took a bunch of pics today while training the Wembley and Re-Training my poor wonder woman, but am I sorta dreading looking at them because of the Mag deficiency, and re-veg of my mid-flower plant, close ups I took.

Do you like those autos? I got two freebies from the Tude and I hated them! I got a Haze auto that is all up in high times as the best auto in the world and I ended up chopping it early and throwing it away cus it was a pile of crap and wasn't going to waist a spot in my MMJ grow. I like to stay legal all the time and I wasn't going to waist a spot on that peice of crap!

I just started my first one (delicious seeds freebie: il diavolo) in a #3 smart pot and am going to try it in my veg box. I plan to put a ccob cage around it and do some very mild LST, perhaps a bit of a spiral, to keep it under my veg lights. I am hoping it turns out well, but I mostly did it as a bit of an impulse decision, because I decided to drop my flower box from 6 to 5 plants and to help give my plants in veg a bit more time before flowering.
I moved the wembley into flower today (with a slightly different training technique I am going to try) so I currently have 6 in veg and 6 in flower, but I will probably drown/dark my next chronic around the time the seed I soaked today takes root, so I can maintain my 12 plant limit. Once I drown a plant (even if it is still under the lights) I consider it dead/pre-harvest. I am not sure if a judge would agree, but let's hope it never comes to that.

I hope that auto turns out better than the two I grew! I guess they are really big in Europe but I don't really care for them. I have my med card and I also had someone that can't/doesn't want to grow for themselves so they designated me as their provider so I can grow 30 plants at a time!
I hope for you as much as myself that a judge never has to see us in front of him for MMJ reasons! But if there are roots they can count it as a plant! Also where I am at they said that you have to dry a plant all at once. Meaning that you can't cut it branch by branch and dry it that way cus they will count each branch as a plant! I am not going to sit there and do that shit, and I am sure a judge would see some sort of reality on that! I would just ask them that if they arrested someone with a sack of weed would they count each bud as a plant and charge them with growing? Some of the MMJ laws are stupid but to tell you the truth I am happy that we can grow weed legaly!

Once I get all my wrinkles ironed out, I will get another patient and double my count.
I know, but they will need a warrant to kick open my door, as I will never open a door for a police officer. Hopefully if they do that, I got time to cut any plants that are drowning and hang em quickly.

I now drown for 4 - 7 days and cut/hang the whole plant to dry. It will really slow down the dry time and help to begin the cure process while the plant is still rooted, and then hanging.

I am smoking/vaping my Afghan today that was cut 10 days ago and I started curing 3 days ago. I am also sampling my Chronic in the bong today that was cut 7 days ago and only started going into mason jars today.

Some premature/hermie afghan nugs that have started curing. I am already smoking on it, with little or no cure, and it smells and tastes quite good thanks to the drowning technique and hanging the whole plant. It is still a bit harsh with no cure but it tastes better than anything I have bought in months and is quite potent.
18 gallons of RO water, $15 per 3ga jug the first time, $1.17 per refill.
Spare 600w super hps and new 400w horti MH to replace the one that I thought was blown. It fired up in the grow shop so my circuit with the veg ballast must have surged/tripped momentarily. It will be my spare now. I now have all horti lamps in all 3 of my big HID fixtures.
My Chronic CH#8 trimmed up. ~33 grams.
My Wembley being trained, after only being transplanted the day before. After training she was transitioned to the flower box so I have 6 plants in there again to help make up for my expected shortfall in yield from revegging my flower box.
These smart pots are a fair bit shorter than the pails so I took more off the bottom legs of my cages and left the top ring on. I will try to train the stems up/around/thru the cage this time to try and maintain a more even canopy of tops for the ccob. The top of the cage is 22" over the soil so it should be just about perfect (I hope) as far as height for the flower box.

And the grand finale: re-vegged, magnesium deficient plants, in various states of flower.
Here is where we are at the end of the day. 6 in flower, 5 in veg + 1 auto, and 1 afghan kush special soaking. I just fed my oldest flowering chronic and once she is dry she will be drowned. A little bit earlier than planned but I need to keep my plant count legal, and try to maintain some sort of perpetual system. I also don't want to waste any more time than necessary with these chronics now, considering their current condition. They have been through hell with the water and mag deficiency issues, and now the week of 24/0 lighting,... At least I got an excuse as this is technically only 2nd grow.
I am not sure if the LSD will make it. Her first 2 leaves are badly burnt from the mag deficiency (I think) and I removed all the green growth when I topped her the other day.

That is nice of you to say, but my flower box is a disaster, IMO. Mag deficiency, multiple varieties of reveg,... On the bright side, I should have lots of leafy trim and spindly buds for hash.
I can't wait for tomorrow so I can smoke some of this QWISO hash. The 91% iso evaporates much faster than the last time I used 70%. I only used 33% more trim this time (from much better genetics) but the yield looks like it should be substantially more. I took a couple pics this morning and will try to take some more when it is dry, during the scraping process, and after I press it in wax paper.

Thx. I think I want to build a kief tumbler eventually, and I didn't like the idea of smoking evaporated alcohol initially, but this was the simplest/cheapest method I could find for making hash, so I figured it was a good method to use for my first couple times. My brother is eager to make some canna butter and oil, but it will be a few more harvests before I save up enough trim for that.

I had to get a doctor recommendation (mid-october) for $150, send $100 to the state, and wait 4+ months....
Renewals take almost as long from what I hear, so I will have to make sure I go back and get re-certified before too late in the summer.
Going down to take some more QWISO pics, but it is not dry yet. I will be scraping and smoking it tomorrow for breakfast, before I head to the grocery store for more RO water.

ya it is the same way i do it, except when i did it i placed the weed in the jar with the ALc. then you let it sit with the lid on for a day or more and shake it every day this way more thc some out. also if you dont let it dry up all the way it makes a good rub for the skin, if you have burns,cuts or bruise or sore bones you rub some on and it helps alot.
and the keif tumblers work great. i have made hash every way and i get the most out of my bud or trim with a dry keif box, and it is just as potent if not more. and they are alot cheaper.
