My First AG

That's pretty
sorry i was stoned, well I always am and was n other threads and did notice the end, sry sir.

LED's r just 2 pricy for me to go for, my first few grows were all under CFLs, had pretty decent results there,
just moved over to 2x 1Kw HPSs for flowering, still using CFLs for veg.
Anyways that's a pretty bud there, rep 4 that.

Lol ya i definately know what you mean I'm usually pretty stoned all day too =) definately agree though when your spending 100-200 on a light is just doesnt make sense not to go with a HID light, but i agree for vegging CFL's are definately the best by far in terms of heat given off and they save you $$ on the electric bill, but for flowering I'd say the HPS is the way to go like you said however if your just growin 1 or 2 switchin out CFL bulbs for the color just seems like the way to go, I got 250w of CFL packed in about a 2ft square growing area so the results up to now are good enough and I'm surprised with the resin production already i wish i had a better camera to take photos but most of my leaves are gettin a sugar coating already!

Yeah well depending on the size of your op cfl can be cheaper but I had a combined total of 140+CFLs in flower and veg and was using over 45amps, now Im down to less than half that.
I run my HPS at 240V so I can run them at half the amps, wish I could do that with CFLs, a 26w uses 350-390mA, so 3 = 1amp roughly so CFLs are great for small grows but really if you get over 3-4 plants HPS will save you big.

I use cool tubes to deal with the heat and now that it's cold I'm gonna install a 6" inline to drag air from outside in rather than taxing my central air all day.
420 your AV always weirds me out  :peace:
Oh I love it, when I first found that I was rolling in the floor laughing.
Still cracks me up.

Do you do this to save space on your service?

Yeah
my 1 1000w HPS uses 9.75Amps @ 120V
and 4.5Amps at 240V
watts are same but 240 makes it easier on the equipment as well as less of a power drain.

My 100+ year home has a old fuse panel with only 100 amps service so I have to make every one count.

I went from using 45+ amps with a shit ton o CFLs now Im using about 15-18 total.

I also added a breaker service panel n my grow room supplied with 60amp service, so I got 240 on demand.

Nice! I was just making sure. I've met a few people who were thinking of doing that to lower their bills. Obviously, that's not going to work.

Looking good, man! :blsmoke:

I got a question aside from my main cola which you can clearly see as it sits about 3" higher than any other side branching, I have 4 surrounding branches which look like their gonna become a cola themselves is it normal to have more than 1 cola without topping? Cause it looks like this X at every tip of the x is a cola top and the main cola being in the middle of the X, they have substantial bud growth just about as much as the main cola does so it'll be interesting to see how they end up!

I think they would be referred to as "secondary" colas.

Lol makes sense dumb question sorry, there doing well I just picked up some Big Bud to help with their resin and girth so I'll let everyone know how that turns out. Right now I feed them once every week I change out the res every sunday and add just ph'ed water throughout the week as they drink up all the nute mix i put in on sundays!
Right now my feeding regime looks like this:
Botanicare Pro Bloom
Bud Candy
Big Bud
Superthrive
Hygrozyme
and i usually throw a splash of the Botanicare Pro Grow just for a little more nitrogen.

The Big bud is 0-15-40
Bud Candy is 0-0-1
Botanicare Pro Bloom is 2.5-2.5
