my first cfl grow

lights come on in an hour.. Still waiting for a second opinion..


Also the 2 Master Kush in veg are doing great, bent them over a few days ago, and growth has finally started to explode.. Will post pics soon, about a month of veg and they are still pretty small lol I have a bagseeds in veg I added about 2 weeks ago that has surpassed both kush in growth. Although the kush already stink to high hell and they are still under 24/7 light

OK, since I got no responses, tomorrow I'm chopping just the colas off the one thats looking ready, and letting the lower nugs finish up for a week or two to see the difference and because I don't want too many of my trichs going amber. Many more have a turned amber over the past 24 hours.

For drying I just have a cardboard box with a computer fan in the side. Will be hanging them from the top flaps of the box

You could try leaving one cola up for another week or even just a couple days an see the difference there.

Also even if only for four hrs try giving them a dark period. I've personally seen the difference(however slight or large) of giving them a break since alot happens during the dark phase as well! If you don't have a timer then it's not a huge deal
Your plants look like some of my old CFL grows alot of fun but I'm over moving all the lights now that I'm back at it.

Yea, they're going to be going through the entire 12 hour dark period, I'm going to be harvesting the colas right when the lights come on, then sticking something under the pot to bring the lower nugs up to the lights. Will check out your journal first thing in the morning, just off to bed for now

Hmm how am I going to cure this small of an amount? I have mason jars, but the ones I have are huge lol and these colas are tiny.. The plant is only ten inches tall lmao

Lmao I'm sorry I meant a dark cycle for your veg plants! The two MK are under 24/7 light right? Is that the same for all of your veg plants or just those two since they are the youngest?

Any jar or container that is air tight is good. I've used baby food jars before when I had them for days when my son was little. But I know they sell small mason jars at most hobby stores or Walmart is where I got a case of like 20 normal mason jars for around $7.

Ohh I see, didn't realize you meant the MK. (Which reminds me.. Kush Pics very soon). I haven't really been doing any special method to move from veg to flower lol, haven't really thought about it. With the 2 in flower right now (again, just bagseeds), I started my flower tent, so I just immediate put them on 12/12 from 27/7, starting with the dark period. Hope that makes sense.. Just hit a few bowls

just re-read your post, made more sense to me this time, don't know how i misread that last night.. was pretty tired. but yea, i only have one timer, for the flower tent, but i am thinking i might get another timer because people keep saying i should give them 4 hours dark at least..

Sorry for lack of updates, been really busy. The two bagseeds that were vegging with the kush have been moved to flower as of today. Next update will be when they show some progress.

Both bagseeds are female, kush are going strong but slow, blue cheese is going strong, needs bigger pot. Better update And pics to come in next few days, short on time right now.

Moved one of the master kush to flower 2 days ago. Won't bother with pics of it as its not doing anything yet.

sorry for making you wait so long for this update, guys. but here's what i'm working on. they weren't really named, easy to tell apart, they are bagseed that have been in flower for about a month. as you can see, one is leaning toward sativa, other toward indica.

also have a Master Kush, that has been moved to flower, but no action from her yet, so no pics of that.

thinking i will probably use the Sativa-dominant for edibles. not sure how much i'll actually get, but should be a fun experience. hoping to have a good ratio worked out for hash oil to butter by then, as i'm going to be extracting the entire plant into hash oil, then making the butter out of the oil. this is just my preference, as i share with my girlfriend once in a while and she absolutely HATES the taste of weed (she says she cant taste it as much when i make butter with oil instead of plant material).

Actually not even running much at all, in veg I have 3 cfl and a florescent tube, the CFLs are 2x 13W 6500k, and one 23W 3500k, and 18W tube (not sure of temp, quite blue).

In flower, I'm just running 6 CFLs 5 of them are 23W 2700k and one is 23W 3500k

I ran the same as you last grow in my flower area ( 6 x 23W, but 2 where 6.5K) with two plants that where much smaller than yours with good results (being my first grow). For my current run I will double that for sure (finally found some good strains to grow, no more bagseed).

Good to meet another CFL user lol, they can get surprisingly good results without a huge difference in electricity bills. Perfect for me, as I only run 5 plants at a time and usually try to keep them at 12" or less with multiple colas.

As for the seeds, I don't mind growing bagseeds, as I only keep seeds from bud if I really liked the smoke. But other than that, I have a 2 Master Kush from Nirvana ( one in veg, one just started flower), a Blue Cheese from Big Buddha (in veg), and a Cinderella99 from Female Seeds (not popped). I usually order a few at a time from a single seed site, I browse different strain reviews here and elsewhere to see what sounds nice.

Well, decided to toss the blue cheese in the flower tent, too, so yea.. Lol.. updates to come.

Some lower fan leaves on the sativa-dominant bagseeds have started yellowing, so going to start flushing (beginning with tonights watering), and harvest in a week or so

The indica-dom isn't starting to yellow yet, but getting kinda close, will probably start flushing this one next week and harvest a week or so after.

The MKush is finally showing pistils (feminised, so no surprises lol) not gonna take pics of it yet.

Pics of the 2 bagseeds to come in a day or so.. Gonna try and find someone with a macro camera.

Well, looks like I'm going to be harvesting the indica dominant bagseed later tonight after their dark cycle. Got checking around with the 30x and 60x and found quite a few amber trichs which I find a bit odd, as lots of pistils are still white.. Anyways, pics later tonight.
