My First Grow...and IM DOING IT IN MY DORM

Ok, first post on the way. I started roughly 10 days ago.

Starting Germinating between paper towels and left in a dark area. A few days later 7 of the 9 had a tap root so I put them into soil and under a couple lights.

2 days later...they all sprouted and are now growing. Ill post pictures of my set up and my progress as soon as i borrow someones digital camera on my floor.

This idea seems far-fetched but i think i can pull it off. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated. Pics on the way!

in your dorm? how retarded are you! If your in a college dorm, you will be expelled from the university, WHEN THEY CHECK YOUR ROOM. your better off planting it on campus randomly than in your dortm.

I agree .dont grow in your dorm... If you get caught (and you will) You'll get booted from school, get arrested, embarrass your family, and put a mark on your record .. move them out in the woods

sorry guys, i should have been more clear on my intentions. My growing was only going to be for the sprouting period and maybe part of the vegetation depending on space. Planning on moving them to a friends for flowering. My dorm isnt exactly what you think. I live in an apartment style dorm on campus. So i have a few roommates, bathroom, kitchen and whatnot so its not some one room 12 by 12 foot area. I got my digital camera lined up and should be posting pics within the next day! thanks for the quick posts about my well-being, shows you guys do care

Ok, well just make sure to move them a little into veg, as you don't want to be carrying some huge plant over to your buddys. You might need to borrow an suv to stick it in the trunk, sincfe they have an open trunk with a closed hatch that is usually tinted. Thats what i did when my landlord came, put them in the back of the suv, and he left in ten min and everything was golden.

I agree with the others,what are you thinking,you know damm well what the next step will be as soon as some sissy narc snitches on you,the school cop's are comming in like Nazi's, then it's over,school that is.

Man buddy,im all for growing but even at the slightest risk of loosing your education you are not making adult moves here,rethink what you plan on doing .

understandable panhead. ive thought the process through and i understand the risks. It will take more than some hearsay to get the campus police in here. as far as im concerned, as long as there are no buds, its all hemp to me. Last time i checked, hemp was legal.

Plants are sitting at 82 degrees with a humidity of 30%. Is that too hot?

Alright guys, got the camera and a few pictures. The camera i borrowed doesnt have very good focus but i hope it works out well. I uploaded a few photos and a picture of the container i keep it in.

sorry we are not trying to be unsupportive just realistic i just filled out of of my most recent fafsa forms and one of the first q they ask is about drug charges not that that would be a problem if you realy did get cought. Id move them before you transplant into anything bigger and they start to smell! Goood luck

Ok...I am in a dorm very similar to yours as well.... I usually buy bud from my suite mates because they always have the best smoke. When they started to run out of money they had the great idea to start growing in their closet, they completely sealed it off and had fans inside. The 2nd week of it's grow i began smelling strong bud odors in the hall and told them that they needed to get rid of that plant as soon as possible because there's no way the RA's and Director wouldn't smell that.. They told me it was fine and kept spraying febreze, oust, lysol, everything possible. Just two days ago I was about to walk out of my dorm room and head to class when I heard a couple of loud knocks at my neighbor's door.. It was a staff full of RA's, the Residential Director, and three cops with their hands on their gun holsters....They raided the room.....They seized the 2 plants, lights, nutes, all their paraphernalia, (including a Roor bong) and charged them with 10 counts of paraphernalia, intent to grow an illegal substance (or something like that), intent to sell and distribute because of the QP they found in the top drawer of his desk in a large jar. Since then they've been expelled from this college and any other college in the state of North Carolina for the next 10 years. (He's expected to spend most of that time in jail though.) ALL AT THE AGES OF 18!! Shit, they're my age.... and their lives are basically ruined because that will never leave their record and it will show up on background checks when they finally want to buckle down and start their own careers and start supporting themselves and their families.

Think about it man.... I'd hate to hear that something happened because of a dumb decision....Future>Weed. IMO....

Again, I understand the risks. Im not planning on keeping them in my room their entire growth. My friend said i could use his house AFTER i get them started. And regarding your friends, it wasnt the two little baby plants that were smelling up the place, it was probably that QP fermenting. When my babies start growing up and need to be transplanted they will be moved off campus...

College student busted for marijuana-grow near COCC

A 22-year old college student was busted late Thursday morning when drug agents raided his apartment near Central Oregon Community College and found a marijuana growing operation.
Acting on a tip, Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) team members conducted a near month-long investigation into the activities of Herman Neff, a resident college student, and his rented apartment at 2642 NW Fawn Run Lane, said Bend Police Lt. John Gautney.

Great article. Goes to show you anyone can get caught...especially those who rent.

roliver1031, don't worry. do what you want, everyone is just trying to look out for you. But as for me, I did grow in my dorm rooms for my Freshmen, Softmore, Junior, and Senior years. I didn't make a grow room though, just used the natural sun light and fluorescent lights. I didn't get caught but I didn't get much yield. The reason is because freshmen year, everyone had to leave their dorms for christma break. So I couldn't water it. I planted it near a river bank, but just so happen, a huge rain storm hit and swept away my plant. Then my softmore year, I used to let it grow right from our window. It was about 3 feet tall minimum, and nobody said anything. You could see the plant from the outside. But anyways, when I started the 12/12 stage, I was using our storage cabinet for the dark stage. There were many times that people opened the storage to peep. And what do you know it i got a fucken herm. Then my junior year, I created a device that self watered the plant and it worked for two weeks. The only thing wrong was that the light sched was thrown off, because I had to use natural on and off times. that one turned hermie too. But for my senior year i lived off campus in a non dorm apartment, so no worries there. I don't know about you but, good luck. I know one bonus on living on campus, is that you don't have to pay for electricity.!!!!

wow you are smart you realy think renting is more risky than growing in a dorm?

Like the guy said do what you want but if you grew anything worth smoking in a dorm you will get busted!
