went out again for the first time in about a week, got pics this time :mrgreen:

heres the report

Bertha is just becoming bushier which im glad for, progress seems good and hopefully she will be flowering in the next 2-3 weeks with her sister.
i still have a tie down on her which u might be able to see in one of the pics, shes the bushy, topped plant...
anyways i think im gonna take it off, is it fine or should i?

Kaylee has just amazed me, such good growth out of this little one, it started out so small but decided to grow up a bit
tie down is gone for good i think, i just wanna see what she can do natural, might put it back in a week for fun
she has some slug?!?!?! (help) damage, im puttin a beer out sometime soon

Nibbles is just fine would have been the best plant in the bunch had it not been put out even later(got it for 5 bucks, its 5 bucks) i tied it down fairly well i think as the growth if coming in crazzy into 3 colas, the pics might show it

yea thats about it

if your to lazy to read i had a few questions

what did that damage to kaylee?
should i take the tie down off bertha, the bushy one?

and lastly for next year i need to know
whats the LATEST you should really put plants out if u want a good 4-6 footer? i kno there might be variables (in the ground for one thats important) im thinking like beginning of june? (eastern canada)

lol baked, forgot pics :mrgreen::peace::joint:
oh and the most important question i had

notice on bertha(bushy fim'd one) the yellow spots...what in the world is causing that? i fed them nutes on the 25th (cap full into a 1L bottle) watered with that, since they have got steady rain water....so is nute burn a possibility or is it something else?

and the damage on kaylee, something ate the leaves any idea?

nibbles is the one still in stringy container i dont know what its called, care to inform? (not hemp is it??)

peace peace get baked :joint:

Hi HookedOn, how's it going? Nice to see another outside grower. My approach is somewhat different - I'm in the UK for a start and NORMALLY I'd say our weather sucks compared to yours, but I have family in your part of the world and I hear your weather isn't great either at the moment. Also I'm lucky enough to have no neighbours attached and my garden's very secluded, so that's where my girls live LOL. It's great as I can tend to them every day which makes things a lot easier. Your girls seem to be fending for themselves pretty well and are filling out nicely.

I'm on my first grow too, so I'm no expert but I'll throw in whatever comes to mind on your questions. As regards timing I would normally suggest 1 June is a good time to get good sized plants, but I think you could probably get away with planting a little after that depending on location, strain etc. Indica normally come to flowering fairly quickly, and finish relatively quickly too. Sativa take a lot longer to do just about everything as I'm finding at the moment. Also some strains are best vegged for a little longer than others, so it really depends on what you want to grow.

The damage on Kaylee could be slugs or catterpillars I'd say. They can do a lot of damage. I had exactly the same type of damage on my Purple Power plants when they were young, but could never find any pests in or around the plants. However now I find one or two caterpillars on my plants (I have eight plants in all) every day. Look closely on the leaves, especially young leaves. If you see any rolled up like a doobie or several leaves stuck together then prise them open/apart and you will find a caterpillar inside. If no caterpillars around it's likely you've had a slug or two visiting.

The yellow marks could be many things, but I wouldn't worry unless it starts to spread. Is it possible you spilled some nutes on the leaves when you were feeding them? Or could be they got a little nute burn as they are still young and you have just fed for the firtst time. Take care with the strength of your nutes - check the label and don't feed full strenghth straight away but build up over a couple of weeks.

Good luck with the grow man, I hope it goes well for you. If we all get a little sun in the next month or two it will be a great help. Catch you later mate ;)

new update!

went out and watered for the first time in a while, used nutes
added 25 mL of gardeners dream (2-4-2) and 15mL of molasses to 2L of water, only used half the bottle as the soil was damp
also put out a slug trap

comments always welcome
the tall one is kaylee
the bushy one is bertha
and the little one is nibbles

Dry the last couple of days, and plenty of sun yesterday morning and most of today. But there's a heavy rain warning for tonight and rest of the w/e by the looks of it so back to normal LOL. Am in the process of clearing out the garage and as soon as there's space they're going in there 12/12 at nights so as hopefully they'll start to flower and more importantly keep dry. Should also help them when the nights get colder which will be important for the Cinammons as they'll take about 11 or 12 weeks (bummer). I'm getting impatient already LOL.

Hi HookedON, how's things? Everyone (including me) seems very quiet on here at the moment. Any progress on your grow or any new pics? Hope the weather has been a lot better for you than it has for me - torrential rain for a few days, flooding the heap. But I'm on a hill so thankfully we survived LOL. Let us know how you're getting on mate. Catch you later ...

Hi HookedOn, glad you've been getting the sun. Last two days here were pretty good, back to rain today and gales tonight apparently. Great :) I think you should be safe enough with the nutes. At this stage mine are drinking up everything I throw at them, no sign of any burn. One of my Purple Powers is starting to bud. But she's gone from dark to pale green very suddenly, like in the space of two days (she showed no sign of needing any nutes until now). Have given her a half strength dose yesterday and will probably give her full strength on Monday if she's handling them OK. Will try to update my journal with a couple of pics tomorrow (it's supposed to be better weather LOL). Catch you later HookedOn ....

went out today and gave the girls a watering
25mL of gardeners dream and 15mL of molasses mixed in a 2L bottle

all seems to be going well except that the bottoms of every plant is starting to yellow a bit, is this expected? people are telling me its natural

next time i go out ill take clippings for pics

Hi HookedOn, your girls are looking great. Yeah my plants are really yellow at the bottom too. A lot of the older larger fan leaves have actually died and I've cut them off. Seems to be the natural thing. I've got my Purple Powers budding now, one going really well and producing dark purple buds (the others are still green for some reason LOL). Will get some pics up on my journal later. Bye for now ...

went out last night and gave another watering, grabbed some clippings too ill get the pics up soon
for this watering it was just mollasses (15mL mixed in a 2L)

i was checking my plants out last night and there was a spider web on 2 of them, around palm size bit smaller, destroyed them
looked hard with the flashlight and only saw 1 spider mite running around on a little bud, scared it away but didnt kill it cause i didnt wanna touch the bud

anyways clippings pics coming right up
