I thought you said you've never been anywhere on the east coast? Hard to say deep dish is better when you've never had the other- just saying.

Vienna beef and Nathan's are the two best dogs I'd say, but Nathan's wins all the contests and is always rated highest in all the food blogs and consumer reports tests. Both are fantastic though, but Chicago style with the celery salt and poppy seed bun and neon relish are the best recipe IMO.

It is hard to believe that McDonalds can coexist with In-N-Out.

I keep waiting for the "toastie" to make it big here. I predict it will. In a year, every Starbucks will be selling grilled cheeses with a slice of ham. Perfect drunk or stoned food.

I think we need more late night kebabs too but it is not likely in the current atmosphere. Many a late night in Amsterdam was ameliorated by late night middle-eastern food.
Close by me there's this Kabob and Oaxacan hut :)

I have a few times, but I'm undecided. I like the extra juiceyness, but dislike the extra salty obscuring the chicken. Hhaven't worked out a low salt brine
Try buttermilk
