in other plant news... lol
looking very nice, cool to see how topping vs. untopping goes...
as far as the bulbs go... here is what i can say- and i am not the best- because i prefer to use HID light and not FL's but...
I have heard- and know from buying CFL's for side lighting, that their are two spectrums- red and blue, blue spectrum is over 5000K, k stands for kelvin (a light spectrum rating system) Reds are below 3000K for vegetative growth you want Blue, and for flowering you want Red...
This is pretty critical- you'd better make sure you ask some questions wherever you are buying them so you know what your K rating is...
And you'd better plan on having to buy more bulbs for flowering...
I though, and still think- that T5's were the size of the fixture, you can get red and blue T5's as far as i know... and T5's are a longer light that shorter compact fluorescents
and why not use HID's?
