My Mites Wont Die

fuck if I know dude, all I know is it works like mad, I won't use anything else, to each his own and OP whatever you decide the real important thing is to spray completely, no matter what you're spraying keep at it and the little fucks will die, most oils main purpose is to contact and suffocate the little bastards, there is no growing immune to that. I've had best results with mighty wash and am very happy with the product (although its a little pricey, anything that works well usually is).

i have and it only kille the adults like pyrethrum. I have been using pure spray for the last 2 years. It works every time without fail. It kills big ass roaches too. It costs $20 for a quart and its very concentrate so it will last a year. Azamax costs $60 for half that amount and that didn't kill the eggs either.

Pure spray biodegrades after 24 hours like soap sprays
user error.

Fuck, my azamax was $20 and I've been using it religiously for 2 years and it's still 95% full... I think it depends on the mites though - I've seen pyrethrin kill, then I moved and watched mites get hit straight on with the stuff and not flinch.

Sometime it just takes time find what works in your particular area.

I've also heard great things about floromite - this is the expensive shit.

theres just no growing immune to certain things, poison sure but being doused with oil pretty much stays the same all the time.

Your res? Where do you order aquatic predatory nematodes? Do they put up well with the high salt levels and fluctuating pH of a res?

i did but i do soil. they stay in there for a month or 2 and they multiply as the feed. they work great. the only thing is if you have some left , you have to store them in the fridge

Cider Spy, here is some info about Spider Mites.....

Spider mite females are fertilized for life and produce 100 eggs(75% Female Eggs and 25% Male Eggs). Spider mite females reproduce every 5 days in temperatures above 80F(27C).

Create a hostile enviroment by lowering the temps to 60F(16C) and spray foilage, especially under leaves, with whatever application you decide to use. I use Rasta Bob's Death Mite. Make sure after you treat your plants you do it again about 3 days later and continue till they are gone....You have to stay on top of it and continue to battle till they are all gone. You might also want to pick up a small can of Dr Doom Fogger!

Hope that helps.....

Peace

Azamax is a good product for the most part. Unlike the heavy, industrial pesticides it will knock most of them down, most of the time. Neem derivitives abound, and can be used every 3-4 days IN THE DARK CYCLE, until the life cycle of the mites has been extinguished. Usage more than necessary may very well kill off your insect problem, but could very easily damage your crop's ability to grow properly also. Remember, spraying oil(s) on the leaves of any plant isn't natural and will slow down the stomata's "breathing" capability. This, in turn, will have an affect on the plant's final outcome. I've battled many pests in my 19 years of growing, and have tried just about everything except Floramite, and Eagle 20 (fungicide). These are systemic and even if plants are treated in infancy with either of those, they will remain toxic all the way til harvest. Obviously, if you give a shit about any of the people smoking your product, you don't won't to introduce ANY of those to your plants whatsoever. I will admit, I have battled one pest over the years which has given me more problems than any other..............root aphids. They are tough little sons of bitches and have only been something I've had to deal with after receiving cuttings from unknown vendors via dispensaries. Please be wary of this. Although at first they don't seem like they are doing much damage, and it truly is hard to know, but, they are, and in a big way. They feed on the root starch/roots. If left unchecked, they will destroy your plant's roots, and hence any harvest you may be expecting. The best way I've found in battling them, along with spider mites, is a root drench at the rate of 4-6 ml's/gallon in your reservoir for 3 days of Ortho Max's "Bug-B-Gone" (from Home Depot in a red bottle). All precautions must be followed, and advisedly please only use this in the vegetative state, so as not to feed inadvertently to future patients of your medicine.

yeah mighty wash is the shit.its great stuff.
Tried it. Highly disagree. Mighty Wash is nothing more than purified, alkaline water. It has NO anti-insecticidal properties. Same goes for PM Wash. Such a joke. Alkalinized water can be obtained via much more economical means. Marketing it in these ways perpetuates the naivety and mistakenly puts money in pockets of those too unethical and willing take advantage of the uninformed.

I was afraid to even mouse over this thread, I don't want those mites.. knocking on wood right now.

EDIT: however if you don't mind going nuclear I use Avid. A good dose of that and they are gone. Do not use it after you've started flowering! I tried all kinds of stuff, but once I tried Avid and saw that it works I haven't tried any others for mites. I use neem oil, azamax, but if I see mites I break out the Avid and nip that in the bud before they even think about setting up camp... use a respirator, long sleeve clothing, goggles, gloves.. don't get it on you, it's supposed to be some gnarly shit.

Floramite, Eagle 20, and Avid are all around "solutions" but they are all illegal to use without proper certification. Although these poisons are available, not only should they not be used by amateur cannabis growers, but certainly not on crops for consumption. They, administered at any point, are systemic throughout the entire life cycle. Carcinogenic possibly also. I have not, and certainly do not condone the use of this product, not because it doesn't work, but because it's use can't be trusted amongst the growing community.

If you don't use neem or Mighty Wash.. you either have a rare species of Mite that has literally fk'd your grow room.. or you simply are not doing it right. It is easy to ask, whine, worry, about mites.. but the hardest part seems for people to actually bring themselves to the damn plant and take care of it. Don't worry kids, they are not crabs & will not contaminate your privates.. .if two of your fingers are too lazy to squish them leaf by leaf.. than spend some money on Neem oil or Mighty Wash. Before I think your mites have become immune to such methods.. I will lean towards you failing in your efforts.

Remember, if your grow room is not 100% legit, sealed, using co2, best lights& hoods.. YOU SHOULD NOT EXPECT TO BE 100% MITE FREE, Especially if you already have them.. THE BEST YOU CAN DO IS MINIMIZE THEIR EFFORS OF EATING YOUR PLANTS. Being Realistic, If you see signs of mites, (dots on leaves, if worse.. they will be on the tops of leaves creating webs.) Spray them & wipe them off, twice a week for two weeks.. After that, stay up to date w/ your cleaning.. Anyone who sees webs forming on the buds deserves it because they are neglecting the plant to begin with.. =/

Symptoms of mites IME. >>> Under the leaf you will see a single black dot(mite) or very few white balls(eggs)... 2nd symptom you will notice tiny white speckles on the fan leaves, turn the leaf over & you will see the mites + white eggs..

if you miss thoes symptoms you will then see Black dots(mites) on the top of the fan leaf, moving about.. laying webbing which you will see soon after. If you allow that to happen the mites eventually move onto the buds&nugs. You will see them when checking trichs & shit..

So my adivce if you Have Mites Like I Do... Simply keep track of them & take care of your plants.. the mites only get outta hand if you wanna be lazy & let your garden grow solo..
