I have just realized that exactly. I have been running the carbon filter only, temps are down for the most part, 75-83 (ambient is kind of hard, it is in my closet and heat builds up)I would just say, since you running that 4 inch fan and filter in your box which is not that big an area....i would reccomend that you do not use an intake fan and rather leave it passive. Just light trap it so there are no light leaks.
Since the fan you put in there is overpower for the space, no point in using the axial fan as it will only cause pressure in the box and affect both fans. i'm sure with a speed controller you can dial it in nice for the actual size of the box and eliminate as much noise as possible.
And I haven't been using the axial at all, it spins though as the 4inch fan is pulling.
