My very first grow room

Glad to see you took my advice and the good advice of others, like others have said you will be doing a lot better it is a little expensive at first but like you think it is worth it to do it right. Right now I'm smoking on some Alaskan x haze from my first grow it's danky I think specially for a sativa has the upper but also the down I feel glad to have a good friend that could help me get this far plus riu is a great resource if you wade through all the miss information. Can't wait to see what comes from the new purchases bet will look amazing

Its def a chunk of money required to get started but its all worth it in the end.. beautiful stanky dank. Post some pix of ur "solidifyed" grow room.

First image is of some mylar I applied inside the grow space and the second one is a view of where the door ( which I'll construct out of cardboard covered with mylar on the inside ) will be. The fluorescents that can be seen will likely not be used, it's what I had a few weeks ago but will now have a 600 watt HPS and MH light system by end of week.

Looking good , decent size room for a 600 watt hps. Its really important to have an air tight room , I suggest to buy a 4x8' plied wood sheet and install it with 2 hinges as your door . Light penetrating in your grow room while dark cycle can cause plants to go hermie , I found on ebay a store (located in Ontario) selling 8'x8'x6.5' tents for 320 with shipping its well worth the investment . Looks like your off to a very good start, having the right equipment will save you so much headache and stress, not to mention it produces much better results, so what soil will you be using? I would recommend either VermiFire or Amazon Bloom, they both have excellent ingredients and good microbial life, however VermiFire is already pre-mixed with Perlite so you don't have to do it, my go to guy at the hydro shop said people have reported excellent results with it, if you already have perlite and don't mind mixing then Amazon Bloom is great, Fox Farms is good but Ive heard too many stories about Ocean Forest burning peoples plants, however a mix of Light Warrior & Ocean Forest Ive heard is very good though. As for lighting you might want to look into CMH/CDM (ceramic metal halide/ceramic discharge metal halide), there a full spectrum bulb that can be used for both veg and flower, the spectrum they produce is unmatched when it comes to growing, there the best HID bulbs for growing hands down, Halco has a new line of CDM lamps that run on both magnetic and digital ballasts, their called ProLume, check em out:(-->CLICK HERE<--)

Looking good!! nice reflective material... and it will be so much easier to do things than with the old set up. I have my tent ready to go, got my 600 watt MH two days ago... got my seeds yesterday and they are currently germinating in paper towels right now. Got 2 C'99 and 2 Blueberry Bubblegum in there now. Hey, did you ever get the free software from this site? I have spent time filling it out to help me along with my grow. Just need to get my filter in and I am complete!! Your setup looks like it will be very beneficial to your grow! Can't wait to see once you are further along.

Looking good have to say better then my little set up you will like this I can guarantee you that, also I chopped my 2 girls a little early so didn't get half the weight I wanted but I can't be too hard on myself it is my first time some lesson's are just learned the hard way. Anyway cant wait to see the set up all complete and what you get rocking in it by then I should have my tent rocking pretty hard and hopefully can get my phone repaired to take some better pictures. Also what will you be feeding it as far as substances like I am using ss molasses and little bit of becuzz bloom also some c02 bags the bacteria kind that generate it over time. I believe they made nice flowers so I don't know if I should change it up to some pure blend pro flower or whatnot I'm sure I will when money is a little better. Grow On

I do have to say even if I did take this down early it is pretty potent stuff I would say but would of been a lot more and tighter, on a side note I see you said veg nute at 20-20-20 but what will you feed your lady's when its time to beef them up in flower? And nice that kind of work is the best!

I'm sure you already know this but just in case be very careful about who you let know about your grow, if you trust your handy man unconditionally & if you have a medical recommendation then I guess its OK, however even if your legal you still don't want rippers finding out about your grow, don't tell anyone unless you absolutely have to, just FYI.

You should really consider getting A and B nutes , you can buy a set of a&b 4L (optimum hydroponix) for 50$ in any hydro shop . This will give you PH perfect and add nutrients to your plants . Another verrry important nutrient from day 1 to 90 you should get is either B1 or b52 , B1 only contains b vitamins ... b52 contains B vitamins and hormones which will help the plant to thrive . You can also get OVER DRIVE for the last 4 weeks.. that will make your buds grow like crazy . You can grow with simple 20-20-20 and every thing will be fine but these extra nutes will give amazing results . you can get b1 for 25 $ 1L Over drive 35 $ 1L
