Awesome that is a nice pad good job with the set up I would strap that air filter/scrubber tone of the boards so it grabs the heat which helps a ton if can I had to use belts cause the huge plastic cop style cuffs wouldn't hold my heavy ass can33 filter I use.

Now now gentlemen, there's plenty of room for all. Some of you prefer going full on organic and using the best possible of nutrients and that's great while others go another route. I have seen ( and tasted some super dank weed that was grown with what was at hand and it was killer yummy, I've also enjoyed super great organically grown weed from dispensaries. I suggest that we all make use of what suits us best at a given time, no need to hate or be trying to top anyone else here, specially not on my thread please. As for myself, right now, I've spent quite a bit of $$$ in equipment and quality soil while being green in the construction of my grow space but I will tell you all this very clearly; I will be using the nutrients I have at present because I happen to have them, they are not horrible though certainly not the best in the world. I grew two extraordinary plants outdoors this past summer that can knock the socks off anyone. I'm using a plant food that is from a local plant nursery and made right here in Canada. I will go out and look for some other nutrient for the flowering phase and I'm thinking about using molasses and B1.So please, lets play nice, I'm just learning and welcome all of your wonderful ideas and suggestions, I will use many of them and abstain from using others simply because my job is being an artist, it's not 9 to 5, never has been and so revenue isn't always regular. Being a woman home owner in her fifties, I do fairly well selling my art and taking care of things, no debts, and no huge wants but even a few hundred dollars is a consideration I have to save up for.
Well said open minded people is the best :D but if I were to take sides you obviously know I'd be on the tree humpers side lol!!! Anyway grow on shoot for big expect little be happy with what you get learn move on make it better my cycle atm also I'm really enjoying this thread the most on here!

Hiiiiii Anon, Since fixing the inline exhaust fan so that it pulled the hot air out of the grow space, the temps are better though the humidity could be a bit better. The filter stands upon a 5 gallon tub so that it is at a decent height to grab and seems to be pulling in the heat just right. Huge plastic cop cuffs, ? lol, what is that ? I'm enjoying the wonderful people who come on to my thread and offer their help, I think you all rock and you can be on what side suits you best and I will still be happy for your generous help and suggestions. :D

Just found clones that I'll pick up on saturday: Monster Kush, Purple Kush, White Fire ( White Widow x White Rhino x OG Rascal, (y its 80% indica% and 20% sativa. ) and the Dragon's Breath (75%Sativa/25%Indica). This means I need to reconfigure my grow room so that I can do both the vegging and flowering steps. Clones will be ready before the seedlings I just started growing, maybe by as much as a month.

Nice I see you got your self a plug for clones :) Pk ( purple kush ) is actually one of the kush strains that people grow the most in Ontario and Quebec , every body wants to smoke some pk :P . Note that yield for pk is lower then usual strains but your definitely going to appreciate the final product , Most people pull out about .75 g per watt maxxx , and if you reallllyy want the purple to show your gonna have to figure out a way to drop night temps at about 15-16 C . Did he tell you how much time the clones are getting to root ?

I Don't suggest making your veg room inside your flow room, unless you make sure there is absolutely no light from the veg section interrupting the flower section's night period.

Yeah, I'm glad to have come across some clones but you raise an important factor concerning veg section versus the flower section in the same space, that does create a problem, maybe I should hold off on the clones and continue on with my seedlings who seem to be doing fine so far ( 6 of them ).

day6 .JPG Day six of grow. 3 plants were started six days ago and the other 3, five days ago. All seem healthy. The first 3 are feminized Head Band Kush while the others are from bag seed.

hmm bag seed = possibilities of males :*( if it was me i'd kill 3 bag seeds and get some clones up in there :) Let them all veg together for like a month then switch the lights to 12/12 et voila ! You can make you self a 2x2' or 2x3 ' veg space inside the room where u have the grow room set up no need for filters cuz there is no smell to 2 or 3 plants in veg ... And you can keep your self 1 in veg mode and make a mother , eventually after 2 or 3 months you will be able to get some cloning solution a make your own kush clones !!

Yeah, I'll keep and eye out for the males and get rid of them if any should be. But I will follow your kind suggestion and when I get the clones this saturday, I'll keep everything in veg state for a month and enjoy the fruits of my labor. :)

Some people let them veg longer , but 1 month is enough time for them to reach about 12-15'' and crop about 20-28 gr per plant .

I'm looking forward to all this. And if all goes to plan; I'll have some Head Band Kush, Master Kush, White Rhino, Purple Kush and see what those 3 bag seed plants become.

Won't be getting the clones today, woke up this morning to a blanket of snow and our winters tires aren't yet on ... clones will have to wait a few days.

ANY seed will have males and females. female seeds are for noobs. because of the way they make female seeds, they tend to herm - which may not be worth their "convenience".if you veg clones for 4 weeks, they will turn into unmanageable monsters. seriously, 7-14 days is plenty. take it easy your first time. you will get better quality buds, with a respectable yield. 10" pots should be fine. feed full strength, then two plain waterings. water when the pots get light (it should take a few days to dry up in the beginning).Sassy: check if your plant food is for *ornamental* plants. it's not made for veggies or consumable plants! your flowers will have a funny taste - which would be a shame after so much time, effort, and money. seriously, grab either pure blend pro flower, or GH floranova bloom. GH FNB is a copy of the "lucas formula", which was made for growing marijuana. it's a one part fertilizer, and it's pH buffered - super easy. hth

The flowering plant food I have on hand is for plants and is 15-30-15 but I'll probably go out and find something better if I can. At present, I'm not using anything for the seedlings, just the soil they are in ( for the first couple of weeks ) and plenty of water and TLC. Will be using a 20-20-20 plant food picked up for our tomato plants last summer for the veg cycle. The veg nute is Ph neutral. I will, in the coming days and weeks look into better quality nutrients for sure.

I'm so glad to get such helpful and caring suggestions by you and others, makes my life in growing a much better experience all around. :D
