Seems like I read that over 5000 ppm is dangerous to humans?
Maybe gillsmaybe just grow a third arm or something ...

no, you use it only when the light is on and you have to keep adding because of leaks and plant usage.i was told to only use CO2 once in the middle of the day and twice at night . is that true ?
Weed beats Viagra any day, make it weed and co2 and you can fix the deficit or cure cancer.no it's gotta increase your manliness so we can send spam emails to everyone and make a fortune, perhaps add viagra to the mix???
Looks like you can use co2 for the whole grow, which is a good thing because if not u could never make it work in a typical perpetual grow.so is there a better time to incorporate co2? up until week 6 maybe?
First formula should work, I've never had it boil over on me, but I leave quite a bit of extra room in each container I use, even if that meant I needed to use extra containers, so if you had your two gallons of liquid in container(s) that held two gallons that would be too tight.did i use a bit too much yeast? i used 2 gallons water>3 pounds sugar>36 grams yeast for a 4x8x7 room. after about an hour i came back and it looked like pancake mix all over the sides of the container like it erupted. this didnt happen in my last experiment where i used 3 gallon water>5 pounds sugar>21 grams yeast. which one was more ideal? i guess im asking if i use the latter recipe and i dont get the eruption, am i still producing a hi ppm of carbon dioxide?
I just let it settle, but this part didn't work as well as I would have liked, that's why I continue to add 5 new grams of yeast. In theory, you should be able to completely reuse the yeast if you can get it to settle better. You can try pulling a container out of your room 12 hours early and putting it in the refrigerator and it may settle better.desertrat
so when u recycle the yeast,do u strain it and get all the liquid out?
or do u let it settle and pour as much liquid as u can out of the bottle?
thanks
. You're welcomeHey desertrat....just wanted to say thanks for doin this experiment and updating the results......i'vd been following along.....awesome results...thanks Dude! I will be supplementing a ghetto Co2 system to my grow.....will start a journal on that when I start.....cheers dude!!
already bought some and ready to test soon.A brewer's yeast that flocs incredibly well is Safale S-04. It's also a VERY quick fermenter.

I originally recommended safale S-05 which is their American ale yeast, the S-04 is their English yeast. The English strain will floc a lot faster and may be better suited for this experiment as far as recycling goes. Just another option.already bought some and ready to test soon.
K, missed the number change. I've got the 5 so I'll start with that and move to the 4 if it doesn't work. Your dimensions are awfully small. Are you growing in a cabinet? That would be six ounces of water, so your whole fermentation set up would fit in a soda bottle.desertrat, im having a little trouble trying to do the math. so ive come up with the sugar and the yeast( i think) im stuck on the water. The space i want to add co2 in is 4.5 cubic feet.
now i came up with
29.5 grams of sugar and .6 grams of yeast. how much water would i use?
