There has been much debate as to weather it was a good idea to send a disc with instructions on how to get to earth..if aliens did ever find it?

I am honored that my father was one of the engineers from JPL who worked on this project, and an earlier project called "Viking" which landed on Mars.

My uncle worked/works on that. He retired as an officer in the airforce and now works for NASA. He has never been able to talk about his work.
