Need H2O2 info for using in my aero cloner.

Im setting up my 8 site daisy cloner after about a year of sitting around. The problem I had before was that my clones would look picture perfect while in the cloner but they would not grow roots. It seemed to take forever. I used hygrozyme, drop of superthrive and clonex cloning solution in the reservoir until roots show and the directions say to add a dose of bloom formula. But I kept getting white slime growing in the pump and res and would coat the stems of my cuttings.
The thing is I never used H2O2. But now that Im thinking of resurecting this thing I want to use the H2O2 and see what that does. So my question is how do I go about cleaning this thing and what kind of H2O2 and amount do I add per gallon to the res?

For cleaning run some bleach/water through the cloner. Let run for 5 minutes or so and then rinse and flush out all the parts. Sorry can't help on the H202.

Still wondering how much hydrogen peroxide to use. I have 3 percent.

I use about a teaspoon for every gallon/ clears things up just fine. but once you use it you pretty much have to keep using it

I have the same trouble. Over and over I cut healthy clippings and for a few days (4-7) they look good. However, they NEVER root. Eventually the slime starts and they all slowly yellow and die over the next week to ten days. This is very frustrating. I use plain tap water (PH 5.5) in the res and this last attempt, I used ClearRez®, as well. I used Clonex Gel on half the clippings and Dip-n-Grow then Clonex on the other half. I will now try the H2O2 treatment, but I am generally disappointed with the results of my home made 35-site aeroponic cloner [pics below]. I have not yet gotten a clone to root in it.

Previously, I ran the sprayers 24/7 but this time I put it on a timer (2 hrs on then 20 minutes off). My thought was that the stem was getting TOO MUCH water. This system sprays a LOT of water. Is it possible to drowned the clippings in a system like this. Honestly, I am at a loss. I can't imagine that cloning is THIS difficult.

Advice from successful growers would be appreciated. I have a prepaid phone you can call on if you want. It would be good to talk to someone that can help - 8four3 - 3zero3 - 2eight3two. Ask for tony and I'll know why you're calling.

What are your temps? I keep mine between 68 and about 72 with just plain old ph'd tap water to 5.5 ish and got roots on day 9 from my smaller cuttings.

Too much light and poor conditions can lead to aero cloner problems. A couple of tips that I figured out over eight years of using one may help:

- Less light is more light. I use either a 23W or 43W CFL (depending on time of year) in my cloner. I switch not because it's not enough light, but so that I can better control ambient temp in the clone tent

- Don't put the light directly over the cloner. Keep it off to the side, and a bit low to diffuse the light from the clone's leaves. When leaves get adequate light, they better perform photosynthesis, and that grows the plants upwards. You want to prevent at all costs the green parts of the clones growing, or they'll start consuming the nutrients out of the leaves

- Keep your res temperature higher than the ambient air temperature. This stimulates the root zone, while limiting green growth (see the second point)

Here's a pic. It was taken a month ago or so. The 23W CFL is off to the side, and about equivalent with cloner rim. I keep the reservoir temperature at 78-79F by using a 50W fish tank heater on a cycle timer, 3 min on, 30 (or so) mins off. The timer isn't needed, I just have it and put it to use. My ambient (air) temperature is 68F. So in comparison, my res is 10 degrees or so warmer than the air. I run my pump 24/7, just plain tap water (~65 PPM) with absolutely nothing else.

I've found that using these techniques I get great roots, no slime, and absolutely no discoloration or distortion of any leaves. After a couple of runs, I let the cloner operate for a few hours with a tablespoon of 3% H202 and tap water.

Disregard the lemon basil seeds I have under the lamp. I use the space beside the cloner for seedlings of my herbs and cannabis, and after I plant my clones into my 1/2 gallon starter pots, they sit in this space for a couple of days before going into the grow tents.

You run the H2O2 with plants in your system? Just picked some 3% up to fight some slime!

pump on timer 15 on 15 off here,and roots in 6 days 3 different strains using 11w cfl in a box kept at 24c,just dipped in clonex then straight tap water .
