The Fluence VyperX is a amazing light. In my 20+ yrs experience I can say that that light outperforms a 1000W light. It pulls about 600w....Yeah.
Show me a 500w LED that stands toe to toe with a 1000W HPS.
Not there yet buddy. Maybe next decade. Or will they already be making the next "new light" to compete against HID...
I've been trying to tell people...those 315s are the shiiiiiiit. And you can go over 2 yrs on a bulb! I still want to grab a few quantum boards. The 315cmh will do a 4x4 tent no prob.4 flowering rooms:
1) Went from an SE 600 to 450 watts of cobs
2) Went from a pair of SE 600s to about 1000 watts of SMDs and cobs. Also eliminated the exhaust fan that pulled air off the hoods for another 80ish watts savings.
3) Originally 4 SE 600s. Then an SE 1000 in the middle, with 315s in the four corners. It's now got a DE 600/750 with the 315s in the corners.
4) SE 600 to 315 with 50 watt cobs on each corner.
I also went from 600 watts of T5 in my veg tent to 500ish watts of SMDs.
FYI, the 20% increase was the room the 4th room I listed. The others perform about the same as before, only with less electricity and less heat. It gets hot af in Socal during summer and fall. An added bonus is that it's a tiny bit quieter in my work space with a couple less inline fans running.
You should try using a QB and cmh in the same tent. I just finished a run with that combo and I was impressed with the results.I've been trying to tell people...those 315s are the shiiiiiiit. Most impressive LED light I've seen is the fluence vyprX light bar. It's light weight, has remote ballast and puts out some insane PPF...only downside is the cost is high. That light will do a 4x4 with complete edge to edge coverage.
Yep I'm going to grab one and check it out. I see they have a new one too that is said to equal a 315cmh over at growershouseYou should try using a QB and cmh in the same tent. I just finished a run with that combo and I was impressed with the results.
Are you looking at the HLG 225?Yep I'm going to grab one and check it out. I see they have a new one too that is said to equal a 315cmh over at growershouse
I snatched up a few HLG 100 boards. Are you looking at the HLG 225?
Horticulture Lighting Group Elite 225 - 225W LED Grow Light
HLG ELITE is a 225W LED grow light that is a high-efficiency full-spectrum white LEDs fixture with boosted Red and Deep Red LEDs. Approximately equivalent to a 315W CMH grow light in total output. Learn more about this grow light by watching and reading our review of the HLG 225 LED grow light.growershouse.com
The light uses 1 QB 96 Elite V2 board, and many people on this forum use these boards. The HLG 225 looks like a nice solidly built light with a large heatsink and a reflector, though the board is driven pretty hard at full power. You could go with that light, or you could buy the QB 96 Elite V2 engines separately when they come back in stock (hopefully soon, though the individual boards are in stock right now). Add a driver(s), power cord, connectors, some wire, a way to frame the engines if so desired and some hangers. Make a few connections and maybe drill a few holes, and you'll end up with a light that is a better value, has better spread and runs at a higher efficacy level.
@Budzbuddha has an HLG 225. I remember him being impressed with the quality of it. I don't know if he is flowering with that light, but I have seen some beautiful flowers produced by his QB96/ UVB tube combo rig.
Hey man I'm gonna pay a pick our two of a new light out there I found on AMAZON for less that $100 bucks I liked it so much that I now have 4... I have to wear shades when I go into my grow room they are that bright...Im needing help choosing the right grow light for my setup. I plan on using a 3x3 tent in my spare bedroom. Im wanting to maximize yield and bud quality. Need help choosing a light that can maximize the available space of a 3x3 for both veg and flowering. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.. not really wanting to spend more than 500$ unless its a must. Been looking at the sf-2000 and the ts2000 but thought there must be something better? Besides the sf2k only flowers 2x4 area so Plz help
I got Timbers and just copied this from their site, I guess I am covered.
Q: What is your warranty?
A: We offer a (3) three year warranty on all components. Additionally, the power supplies we use in all of our products come with a (7) seven year manufacturer warranty. Bridgelux warrants their VERO29 COBs for 10 years as well.
@RainDan please correct me if I am wrong.
Straight Coco or Promix HP are excellent soil-less mediums.Well guys, I ended up going with the Timber 4VS. I bought it from a site called happyhydro. Idk hope its legit. Ended up being 512$ after shipping and taxes and everything.
Well now that I have a complete setup I have a few questions.
1. What organic nutrients should I use if im growing in coco? Dry or liquid? Whats a good medium for me to use?
Strains for beginners/1st time growers? I was gonna do 4 autos in 3 gal pots in a 3x3 to try and yield 10oz unless someone can recommend something better setup wise. Yield is important to me but quality is what im after.
That says coverage 3.8x3.7ft and only 100w.
I don't understand the reason for the quote, sorry.
Just looking at the one you referenced comparison on the warranty info...I don't understand the reason for the quote, sorry.
That's why I have 4 of them on the south end of my grow room...That says coverage 3.8x3.7ft and only 100w.
I hope you don't take any notice of that, it will flower a 2x2ft at best.
Hello RIU,
Good choice on the Timber. I would've ordered it directly from them and used the discount code, but that's me. I hope it's legit too.Well guys, I ended up going with the Timber 4VS.
