Need help with sunshine #4

I have down to earth fish meal and fish bone meal and earth worm casting. Im using 3 gallon pots wondering how much of each to put in with my dry sunshine #4 mix for my clones. Im new to soiless and killed 6 clones last week by over watering and packing the mixture this they were over watered. Trying to not kill the 4 i have left.

Sunshine is a peat based "soiless" mix. Not sure why you are using that with organic amendments. It's best bottle or dry salt fed.

Also note that I had to change from Sunshine 4 a while back when they changed their peat supplier. The pH went way up on their stuff. Would be good to confirm that your pH is good out of the bag to make sure you didn't get some of that bad batch.

I have a tester havent checked it but im 100% postive i over watered them as i packed the soiless mix down like dirt they were over watered bad i actually tried to save them by mixing the soaked medium with 50% more dry ss#4 and the damage was irreversable

The guy at the hydro shop said i could use organics with the ss#4. Ive never grown indoors i was going to use soil since ive grow alot outdoors using compost and sea bird guano and bat guanos, never indoors. I have the extra space so I built a 7 x 11 room and 2 10 x 11 rooms. I know a few people who groe i can get as many clones as i want idk if i even want a veg room.

You can use SS#4 mix but there are much better options. Add in plenty of worm casting; like up to 50% if you like. That will make your mix real heavy so you may also need some perlite and/or coco to lighten it up.
Don't add all that stuff directly into the containers right away; mix it together in tote bin or something and let it set for at least a couple weeks. Dry fertilizers need time and active compost to be broken down before they are available to the plants.
I suggest starting out using a soluble fertilizer like liquid fish and or seaweed. You can use the fish bone meal as a top dress or add it into the mix directly. For let's say 10 gal of soil you can add about a 1/2 cup each of the fish and bone meal. Does not have to be exact; just kinda get it close. Guanos are fine too just go easy with them or use in a compost tea.

Make sure with the sunshine that you supply all the nutrients your plant will require since the sunshine isn't really a nutrient source.

Also, remember many bad things start with that statement. lol hydro shops sell stuff, not always the best advice is given there.

Cool thanks im getting more clones today i really need this to be successful for many reasons. So basically mix my fish meal bone meal worm casting with my ss#4 and let sit for 2 3 weeks to break down and then use for plants. What would be a better option then ss#4 for organics? I got everything to brew tea buckets aerator tubes sugars ect i was planning on going that route after my first go around.
