I wouldnt trust that study much it is kinda done by people with a interest in selling u more shit imo and yes people on here would argue blind dont flush each to there own i flush i tried both ways imo flushed smokes better i flush for the last 21 days i start of putting 6 times the volume of the pot through it (water)then after that its just water only for last bit and i grow organically i still find it makes the difference i think everyone's opinion on to flush or not will vary what works for u is the right way id say experiment with it till you are happy man
Post any REAL paper providing any proof at all of the benefits of flushing. The article you're squashing was at least written by educated people involved in horticulture.

Hmm I guess that’s where all my terps and frost went. Only been doing it that way for years. I go straight RO water the last 2 weeks. I’m only hitting lil over 3 lbs a fixture so I knew something had to be off.

and you allow these to have nothing but plain water for 2 weeks In coco?

Let’s see them just before you harvest?

Because 2 weeks of zero nutrients in coco and your plant will be paled out and washed out.

Definitions. ... We define a sockpuppet as a fictitious online identity created for the purposes of deception. Sockpuppets are usually created in large numbers by a single controlling person or group. They are typically used for block evasion, creating false majority opinions, vote stacking, and other similar pursuits
Thank you. I saw that phrase used a few times now and was never sure what it meant.

People really have nothing better to do?

Yeah I knew I was doing something wrong I just hate when they fade at the end like that. No terps, no frost no weight.

Is this where you tell us that you use organic or you amend the coco?

How often do you feed?

what nutrients are you using?

seems like you’re trying to antagonise me with your words which isn’t working buddy.

I’m always interested to hear how others do it towards the end.

personally I taper down towards the end, finishing with EC very similar to that which my seedlings receive.

Out of interest why do you flush for so long?

have you ever not flushed?

This whole topic comes down to 2 things.

1.Growing healthy plants without overfeeding them and then drying them properly to provide clean smooth smoke.

2.Confirmation bias - Some people have the preconceived idea that flushing does something, and no matter what the actual data shows they will resist the truth. Biology is what controls plant behavior and no matter how much fight that, it isn't changing any time soon

im not gonna lie I did not expect to see a 21 day flushed plant in an inert medium looking like that. Do you maintain ph in the flush water? To allow a buildup to be taken in by the roots during the flush? Or do you target the ph to allow for certain things to lock out and others to be used up?

I feed advanced nutrients.
No organic stuff besides microbes.

I don’t actually flush per say unless I get nutrient build up. I just don’t feed at the end.

I run big pots most of the time and feed once per day. I don’t get much run off and stay at fairly low ppm feeds after week 5. (650-850 ppm)

I do not ph the plain water, it’s 14 days not 21. If my PH was way off I might, but it’s only .2 lower than I feed (5.6 instead of 5.8 )

Honestly guys I have been growing since you were supposed to flush. Lol.

I took a short cut a long time ago by just running plain water last two weeks instead of gallons and gallons of water til run off and it worked well. Everyone liked product. Saved me time and water.

I have several other rooms going and usually about the time one is hitting that stage I have another hitting the stretch and I’m busy with that. I’m glad to have one less batch to mix. And it turns out fire.
