New 600w watt ballast great deal which to buy

So i found these amazing deals on lumateks and the new Quantum digital ballast for the same price of only $175!!!!

I am hung up and cant decide on which one to buy. My old digi 600w ballast from htg burned out....Help please

Oh and it burned out its 6th bulb in two years....soooo im in need of a new bulb...which bulb should I get???

Maybe i should get the adjustable 100w and the dual arc 100w bulb? hahaha Anyways regardless which brand ballast? lumatek or quantum?

MY old digi ran really hot how hot do these run hopefully I can get some experienced answers...thanks in advance

I've been running 2 lumateks and haven't had any complaints (other than they are a bit warm), but I haven't tried quantum so can't say which is better.

You really recommend one of those for flower...the hps have got a lot more lumens. Someone i know just flowered under a 600w mh and the yield was lacking....very resinous and dense bud though.

when you order your gear ask Brian to send you a copy of the '09 Hydrofarm catalog, he can get you anything in it. I like my lumatek with a eye hortilux bulb. never had a quantum. I'd ask what bulb he recommends, he'll make sure bulb/ballast are compatable.

Im running the quantum 600 and its very reliable. the ballast itself never gets very hot regardless of setting. I havent burnt out a bulb yet wit it. when i am veggin i only run it at 50% and than i jump it up once i begin flowering

Have you talked to htg to try to replace you ballast under warranty or anything. From my experience their customer service is great even on things that have gone past the manufacturer's warranty date.

if your that lucky lol.. Seems most of the time these days you never get what you pay for.. Its all an "illusion".. Called "marketing". pfft.

Oh yeah its all about applyin them fancy words to those big fancy colorful pictures. damn city folk
