New advice on 6" Clip on Fans for grow tent

I am trying to purchase a couple clip-on fans today or tomorrow for my 4x4x80 vivosun grow tent. I've had problems with Genesis 6" clip on fan from Amazon not staying tight to the side bars and falling down onto the floor.
I have been recommended to these hurricane fans. They are the stationary ones that clip on and tilt, but they do not oscillate. I have also heard that the new vivosun 6" oscillating clip on fans are great (but they are out of stock on Amazon and on their website).
Does anyone recommend the hurricane 6-in clip on fan for a grow tent? Getting two to have above your canopy in a 4x4 for proper air circulation.
I currently have an AC infinity t6 inline fan sucking air out of my tent with a vivo sun carbon filter. I just wanted good air circulation in and around the tent. do you recommend an oscillating fan or is a stationary clip-on fan sufficient?
This is on ebay

Mine isn't loud and certainly cant even hear it over the extract and inline fans so doesn't affect me
It squeaks when it reaches the end of rotation sounds like rubber and plastic rubbing. I'm sure I can adjust it somehow just haven't taken a few minutes to take it apart yet.

I own 6 of these. They work REALLY awesome until they don't. They will give you about 3-6 months use full time.

I buy them in 2 packs. When two burn out I order another 2 pack and wait a couple weeks and return the other two that are burnt out.

This way I always have at least four running fans... and usually two being sent back. It's a hack/cheat, but it keeps you in fans without having to keep buying them when they burn out.

Did any of you guys try out if the monkey fans can hang horizontal?
So that it blows straight down?
I heard it might be bad for the engine, but I have no clue.

To stop your fans from sliding down, go to the local hardware store and by a piece of 1/2 split pipe insulation. Like this...
Or...If you are not feeling like cranking up the car and spending that cash...

Take tape and roll an uneven lumpy wrap right under the position you would like the fans to stop at...lol...That's the Hyrdokid Save a Buck Trick..
lol...Or maybe not..lol but that will surely stop it from sliding.

I use the Vivosun Clip fans...they sell them in pairs on Amazon and they are nice Additions..

I heard it might be bad for the engine, but I have no clue.
That would only be bad on the engine if it was CLOSE to the Top without any air to suck from the Back..
Without the proper air suction the engine can overheat, but if you lower it properly (4-6" hook) it should function just fine.

Wil it still oscillate when it is horizontal?

I spent a fortune on my fans that have now run 24/7 for almost 3 years now. I bought 4 for each pole corner in my 5X5, swirling the air around in a nice vortex before it's sucked out the 6" exhaust fan mounted on top of my tent. The fans have clips that hold onto the Vivosun poles well enough without modification. They cost me a whopping $11.99 Canadian dollars each, and the name of them is "MAINSTAYS 6-inch Clip on fan" available at your local Walmart.

Two different tents. Same setup. Hurricane on roof oscillating pointing down. One broke and replaced it. Found out oscillating doesn’t matter. Straight down is fine.

I'm using the double pack of vivosun clip on oscillating fans for a 4x8 tent. Moves a bunch of air on low and haven't had any issue with them over the last 4 months. They've been running 24/7

They’ll fail soon enough. Save both for when they do. Buy a new 2 pack and return those broken ones a short time later. Good luck.
