New Area 51 - RW 150 Who has tried it?

Anyone tried this new LED? I'd like to buy it, but can't decide. It's either that or a 600w dimmable HID with all the bells and whistles. The HID ballast and air cooled hood will cost around $250 plus a good dual spectrum horticulture bulb.

This one is close to $600 which is not too bad for a quality LED. I read this guys entire website and I like the way he approaches the topic and some of you have said you like your older area 51's.

I'm like everyone else. Just tired of dealing with heat.

Well, the light just came out recently so there hasn't been enough time to get a full grow completed with it yet. I have the older sgs160 model and it works great. But if you are deciding between the 150 and a 600w hid setup, then it depends on what your goals are...larger yield then go 600w, stealth then go with the led. If you are looking for hardly any heat, then led. Hope this helps you decide.

Yeah id like to have a go at that LED myself, i love his theory of just needing white, not loads of colours etc.. plus his lights have been getting good results aswell.

Go for it bro. Enter the new tech.

I have the same exact heat issue. It's either too hot or too cold. No inbetween. Just a roller coaster from Hell. I'd get LED for now and CMH for cold. Fuck AC and heaters.

The RW-150s look amazing on paper. I can vouch for the quality. Sheer American made perfection out of the box. I'm blooming with the 160s and reaping the rewards. The 150s have even more red with just enough blue. You will not be disappointed...if you get the hook up ;)

Awesome thx... Yea, I really like this guys attention to detail and dedication to growing the finest buds possible with LED.

I wouldn't say more red. But definitely more blue. Making a more balanced / even spectrum in flower mode. An overall higher cri imo. I think with that in mind. The rw150 should perform better than the sgs 160. I love my 160. Performs great. Very red heavy in flower mode though.

comparing to a 600 hps. At least 2 rw 150's to match. Maybe 3 panels.
