New CFL Grow

Hey y'all...Last project didn't work out so hot due to an unfortunate mix-up involving Mircale-Gro (or more like Miracle-Shrivel-Up-And-Die). So cheers to a fresh new start. The seeds are 2*Super Lemon Haze, 1*Blue Mystic, and 1*Headies Bagseed. (The 5th plant in the picture is the tough survivor (Super Lemon Haze) from the last failed grow, I'm keepin it alive). They're in completely organic potting soil this time, mixed about 4:1 with horticultural vermiculite. They're under 6*28watt CFL's, in a grow box I made specifically for this op. The fans are close to airtight and blowing in the same direction, and the air temperature stays at about 80 degrees even with everything on. That's about all, I guess. Wish me luck!!!

Ha, shame you didnt have any luck with the MG, I have and no problems still, anyway let me not start that debate.
What I wanted to say was I like the Box setup,,very swish. Looks like a grow kit almost.
take it easy...

Ever try dutch masters liquid light? I highly recommend it since you're using cfl's.. I use the stuff on everything and swear by it, as well as a few other friends that grow.. It's the bee's knees imo..

little spendy but the stuff goes a long ways and is well worth it..

HEY, reefcouple, can I just ask about the liquid light? It is abit pricey at 25quid a litre, but do you use anything else? And have you used the Gold Grow and Flower?
Take it easy.

I have not used the penetrator or gold stuff.. i stick with just the liquid light, and i think anyone thats growing with a t5 or cfl would love the results. I have 2 different bloom tables, a 1000W HPS and a HOT5 8-Bulber that I SOG on and I spray the girls down twice a week and my oh my I swear by the stuff.. And honestly, I really dont care what kind of nutes people use or how they use them, I used all the AN products etc and I don't "swear" by any of it except this liquid light from dutch master...

Hey y'all - I have used Miracle Gro before and it's worked, but it was Miracle-Gro Potting Soil as opposed to the Miracle-Gro Organice Choice that I used most recently, with terrible results. (The package says that Organic Choice is intended to be mixed with natural outdoor soil and used with outdoor plants...of course I'd be the one to buy that shit and not even read the label...) Either way I'm not knockin on MG, I'm just sayin' I'm not fuckin with it anymore...

So good news and bad news

Good news - the temperature is staying low and constant; the first sprout is looking great

Bad news - one of the germinated seeds was a little too exposed to the light when we put it in the soil, and looks like it's shriveling up

More tomorrow, thanks!

Oh...and the old SLH seedling that was still surviving...is now dead. :( So far we're 0-4...I'm destined to get a 'W' soon.

Quick update - the one new seed that looked like it might have been over-exposed is probably dead, but the first leaves look a little greener today, who knows. The first sprout is looking fantastic - very lush, dark green. The 2 that haven't sprouted yet (seems like it's taking a while) are still chillin' so I haven't really done much with em but wait. Temperature still constant at about 80 degrees.

Here's updated pics of the new SLH seedling that's alive...pretty sure the other germinated seeds were overexposed and died...oh well, this guy looks good so far.

sorry to hear about the other plants, oh and feminized seeds don't mean they will be female just have a higher chance of being female. I've heard of people actually getting males from them before. but lets just hope its a female lol

I'm officially deciding to keep up with daily pictures, for now at least. It's the only plant that's alive, so I'ma baby it a bit, feel me? Here's Day 5 pics of the Super Lemon Haze Sole Survivor...
