I got a rooted clone and dropped it in a bubbler. The clone when I got it looked very healthy. The roots have now entered the water in the past 24 hours. When I got the clone it had a big fan leaf near the bottom of the clone that was somewhat yellow and dried out. The stem was also purple but this may be the strain. I figured the yellow on that bottom leaf was because it was using energy from that leaf to grow. Since putting in the bucket the leafs have drooped and they are somewhat yellow/loosing green. I was thinking of just letting it ride for a bit and see if since the roots entered the water if it would pick back up. How long after the roots hit the water should I start seeing signs of recovery in the plant? My ph is around 6 and I am using the General Hydro Lucas formula at half strength. I have a few questions about maintenance as well. Is it ok for the rockwool plug to be saturated or should I allow it to dry out? Do you guys think I should change the water completely to see if I can correct the issue? I was thinking since the clone was so well rooted when I put it in the bucket that it was nutrient deficient and that was where the yellowing and drooping came from, but the roots have been growing like crazy and since hitting the water about a day ago I haven't seen any improvment. I am thinking of giving it another 24 hours and if no signs of recovery dumping and refilling the res. My temps are around 75, 400 watt mh. thanks for any insight or info.
