new clone (blue cheese) in hydro not doing well

I got a rooted clone and dropped it in a bubbler. The clone when I got it looked very healthy. The roots have now entered the water in the past 24 hours. When I got the clone it had a big fan leaf near the bottom of the clone that was somewhat yellow and dried out. The stem was also purple but this may be the strain. I figured the yellow on that bottom leaf was because it was using energy from that leaf to grow. Since putting in the bucket the leafs have drooped and they are somewhat yellow/loosing green. I was thinking of just letting it ride for a bit and see if since the roots entered the water if it would pick back up. How long after the roots hit the water should I start seeing signs of recovery in the plant? My ph is around 6 and I am using the General Hydro Lucas formula at half strength. I have a few questions about maintenance as well. Is it ok for the rockwool plug to be saturated or should I allow it to dry out? Do you guys think I should change the water completely to see if I can correct the issue? I was thinking since the clone was so well rooted when I put it in the bucket that it was nutrient deficient and that was where the yellowing and drooping came from, but the roots have been growing like crazy and since hitting the water about a day ago I haven't seen any improvment. I am thinking of giving it another 24 hours and if no signs of recovery dumping and refilling the res. My temps are around 75, 400 watt mh. thanks for any insight or info. :blsmoke:

with developed roots other than the shock of temp change growth delay should have been negligible.

with the roots growing but no new growth, this points towards a difficiency, with the prurple stalk id say its a phospherous problem, but dont hold me to it.

here's one of RIU's troubleshooting guide
https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/38772-guide-diagnosing-plant-problems.html

also either aerate your res, or do ebb and flow, thems roots need air

Thanks for the help, maybe I should bump up the nutes? I'm at half strength lucas formula now.

Also noticed my kali mist has went from green stem to purple stem since putting it in the bucket.

ok well first pic looks like slight N defficiency

second pic looks like under wattered. its gone purple cuz its getting NO nutes, splash some damn water on that root ball.

but if theyve only been in the water 24 hrs i wouldnt do anything yet.
i guess i wasnt paying attention before, just like any transplant theres a few days of acclimatization.
and any correction to your nute situation wont be visible for a few days.

so right now those plants night have just what they need and it just isnt visible yet.

or because their diff strains one might like a little more N than the oth er

think it will be ok to splash some of the premixed half strength nute water on there or just reg water? (ph'd of course)

Half strength should be fine for now, actually. I'd consider lowering your PH to 5.3, no higher than 5.5. I use the lucas formula as well, but with a PH of 5.3 to 5.4 at all times...

My girls do NOT like 6.0 at all!!!

I wouldn't bother with that.

Do you have oxygen being delivered to your roots??? If not, that can also be a big problem. The roots need oxygen man!! :-)

One other thing, what lucas formula are you using?

Since you have a high intensity bulb, I assume you're using 8ml/gal Micro, and 16ml/gal bloom, but at half strength for now. Right?

Hey this is the formula I'm using

0-5-10 - For Vegetative cycle (18/6)

That is full strength in ml. I may try lowering the ph, I just mixed up a bucket with full strength nutes in it and ph of around 5.8. I'll lower the ph a little to around 5.5 and switch buckets and see what happens in the full strength nutes and lower ph. Thanks for the feedback.
