NEW GROW SETUP (Budget)

My plants were in 2 gal pots so I just ran about 3 gals of tap water which is a little high here at about 8 ph but I then ran the last 2 gals of ph'd 5.5 water kinda hoped it would balance out a little left my run off at about 6.8-7.3 ph my ph tester isn't the most accurate and does .5 increments. If your plants are showing signs of better health I would just keep watering with what your using and check the run off ofte for the next few weeks and maybe even start adding the nutes again when you feel more comfident the plant is healthy. To get it thicker you might want to leave the fan pointed directly on the plant running as high as it can to build strength. I am new to this myself though just posted cause we used the same nutes and had similar problems. I even use the same humidifier lol. Good luck on your grow and just remember you're alot further then most that just dream up plans all day.

Yea I just dont want it to be too late and I should have flushed it...might just keep watering it and check the ph.

I thought you are suppose to keep the fan osci? Or if u have one..I do. Mine just hits it in motion. I thought hitting it directly could dry it out.
yep its the same way
Yep and it scares me shitless. Someones gonna have to convince me to do it and I believe it will be the plant.....:wall:.

To flush your plant you use double the amount of soil. Example is 3 gallon container would mean run 6 gallons of ph'd water through the soil.

I think its just a gallon pot from what it looks like. Should I wait till the soil drys out or do it right away? I was afraid of overwatering but then again im flushing it...its almost the same as overwatering it.

I should then put it in new soil right? What a mess.

I'm not sure about the drying out if the fan is left on them. So far it hasn't happened to me but it does make sense. You can kind of see it happening to the leafs on the left side of this pic. This is about 4 or 5 weeks after I started my battle with the brownish yellow dry dying leaves. I gave them just ph'd 6 water and started to flower. I trimmed all the severly burnt dead leaves. After cutting out the vigoro and just giving it the ph'd water it seemed to be working, they spruced back up to good health for what they were lol.

plant looks nice and green. it looks over waterd. let the soil dry out and start giving her bloom nuts if shes in flower. if she looked as bad as you say she did and she looks like that now, your doing a great job.

Ty sir appreciate the advice but I have been practicing harvest/curing techniques on the girls ya see there. The date stamp on the pic is off by quite some time that pic was taken in late dec 08. Just noticed that on my cam. They were just my practice grow using some walmart flouros to see if I could even keep plants alive longer then a week lol. I will keep the over watering in mind during my current grow. I do still have alot to learn.

don't let anyone tell you that you can not get a decent harvest with cfl's. i now for a fact that walyworlds cfl's will produce nice buds providing you use enough.:eyesmoke:

I agree 100%. I was shocked by the out come of my 45$ or so worth of 2ft flouros lol. Those are just random bagseed that have turned out pretty good for the lack of real nutes and the low watt of lighting. I stopped giving any nutes once I burnt them with the vigoro lol. Now I am using a 400mh/hps with FF nutes/soil.

ya man you should flush that girl and do it quick. Your flushing to clean the soil basically of all nutes. That way she stops feeding on them while she is still recovering. The stuff she has stored in her will keep her nice and green into flowering. I would invest is some better nutes though. If you live in the U.S. go to ebay and type in BMO and look for the bottled nutrient. It is Blue Mountain Organics. Their prices are insanely cheap. And I can speak as a mutiple time customer that their product is OUTSTANDING. It is so hard to burn plants. I mean I bought I whole 4 pack of nutes for 32.00 us dollars. Grow it Green with 5-2-5, Flower Power 1-8-7, Folair Harmony 2-4-2, and Super Plant Tonic (no NPK vaule but it WORKS). Fast shipping too.

What are my chances of it being overwatered since I have just watered it today? And this is the 2nd or 3rd time i watered it w/o nutes added ph below 7.

Yeah you can use the FF nutes with your current soil but I would def flush and just ph water it for 2-3 weeks before adding the FF again. Just to make sure that you got all the old nutes out and don't accidently start this whole process again. I am very against the use of vigoro on our plants especially by us newer guys seems to lead to problems real quick and real easy cause I know I dillutated the hell out of it myself.

If you go to the web site I have posted just follow the list if you are going with fox farm nutes. I just follow the chart and have not had a nute burn yet. When you start the new nutes (whatever brand you buy) make sure to only give them like 1/2 a dose at first.
