NEW GROW SETUP (Budget)

Mind you this is on a very tight budget. And its messy..gotta clean it up. Dont make fun of my foil either :eyesmoke:

EDIT: It has been thirsty and I havent been giving it a whole lot of run off because im afraid of over-watering it. But it was getting nutes for a week now and I was keeping it on a nute/ reg ph water schedule. I stopped feeding it nutes as of this week though and been giving it just a little bit more water..when do signs of over-watering show? New growth isnt as dry and they are VERY green..the top is a LITTLE dry the bottom leafs feel good (And they keep comin)

All the old leaves are getting dried up every other day though. Sometimes they feel good and sometimes they dont.

This was a clone @ 9 1/2'' when I got it lol. I believe it wasnt under proper lighting conditions. I have had it for 2 weeks now.
Lights: (7) 26w CFL 5500k (I believe, didnt have a tag but below were the 2700ks.
Area: 3x3x3 w/ rubber made on top (for temporary additional space)
Temps: 72-85F
Humidity: 30-50%

NUTES: Vigoro 10-10-10 (Home depot)
SOIL: TLC potting mix (Perlite, peat moss etc) drains well, Also been using Vigoro 10-10-10 at 1/4 strength (they recommend tsp per gallon)

I keep an osci fan that gently touches the plant for a split second while its in motion. giggity

Correct, it was a problem. Now it stays in a good range (From what I have been researching).

I gave it nutes twice, really light dose too (1/4 strength per gallon). I have stopped the nutes though Like I mentioned.

Wish some of you could read the ENTIRE post instead of looking at the pictures and tell me something I already know and have explained. This is my first grow. Like I said the plant came just like that minus the green growth thats coming from every damn angle. I have been caring for it just need better advice if any.

Any OTHER input would help. Im going to wait and see what happens but whats going on with the plant? All new growth and the other leafs just kinda fading but really slow..not normal correct?

Any input on new growth? I know the rest of the plant is purple but all the new leafs are pretty green. Someone told me to start feeding it nutes since its pretty tall but seems to skinny to me. Any help is appreciated

setup not bad but that poor poor plant. get rid of the foil. flush thet plant out and start freash with the nuts. good luck

Something with foil + plant combination bad? Or just to white trash =P.

Ill look into flushing it, you are the first person whose told me to do so (I have bullshit post on other sections).

Plant has had a rough time before it was handed off ;/. Im hoping the new green is my only sign of its gonna be alrite.

nope its bad on the plants. panda film or go and buy some emergancy blankets from the sporting store.

The thing is with foil is that it can create hot spots causing stress on your already stressed out plant.

Flat white paint is better or as Mygirls said Mylar or an emergency/space blanket is the better bet. Flat white paint is cheap and as reflective if not more so than the blanket or foil.

get her soil ph right and start from their. as long as yousee new groth every day then your doing it right. 100's of way to produce large buds and big yields. only 2 ways to keep alive, and thats don't over water and don't over nut.

I was using vigoro from HD as well on 4 bagseed plants and it just kept burning them up until I basically stopped using it altogether. I tried to dillute it down to a tsp per 3 gals or someting very low like that. I felt like it was a waste so I flushed and just used ph 6.5 water with molasses once I started to flower and the extra crispy dry leaves stopped showing up and never seen the nute burned yellow leaves again. I just didn't like vigoro but I have limited experience my plants were also in organic MG soil so that could of helped cause the nute burn.

that will happen with a time release soil. better to use a soil with no type of nuts in it. better control of your plant that wa. what you feed is what you now they are getting.

I think flat white paint is more reflective, I was reading that flat white reflects 99% of the light that hits it. I've also read that with mylar and space blankets, folds, wrinkles, and creases in the material will cause it to loose reflectivity, if that's a even word. I'd take down that tin foil then paint the whole inside with less than $5 worth of paint.

MG soil is pretty strong + vigoro I bet you had too flush..that sounds like all kinds of nutes pumping. Was that MG a time-release? Im kinda scared to flush to be honest with you. I have done lots of research and some plants survive a flush some dont. I just been using water that is little below 7 or just at it. Luckily I havent fed it TOO much nutes..just twice in the last week. So ill wait to see what happense since it keeps growing green..see a little white spot on top..think I needa clean up the room.

I was told to start a nute cycle since it was so tall but I will just keep giving it regular water. The water I buy is from the conv. store and ph's pretty good with the soil I use.

Yup I got the ph right..bought all kinds of gits and gadgets b4 i started her back up (almost seems like a beat up car that needs a jump start..and more work).

Nutes have stopped and just pure water now.

Yeah flushing was a must do for me. It was my first attempt to grow and the MG was time released which is where I really burnt my plants up. They all 4 survived just stunted some I'm sure. I basically felt just like you once they started showing new good green growth I just stayed with the ph'd tap water and felt a healthy plant with no nutes is better then risking it with the nutes again.

So think I should go ahead and flush? Its to skinny im afraid of it not growing any bigger. Ill have to read into it some more.

Did you say check the fuck out of my run, didnt get that lol :eyesmoke:.

Can someone give me a link to flushing during veg. Everytime I been trying to find it in google its talking about flushing in flowering. Im not sure if its the same thing but any advice would help.
