the transplant was successful, its been 21 hours since and the seedlings have actually grown in size since, i had two plants placed in each pot just to maximize success rate in case it wasnt 100% (advice from thread) on the first pic you can see the 500w halogen light which i'm not counting on really (its an extra source i use once its sundown) . on top of the plant its a vapor dispenser which raises humidity (it really low in my apartment) it also cools down the the plants from the halogen bulb light .

idk man. u might as well save the energy with tht light all the way over there and turn it off and just do 12/12 with sunlight..tht isnt nearly powerful or even as effitive where it is.

the bills are on the building management, I know it isn't that effective, but I suspect it might give a lil some some no ?, for the sunlight all I need to do is open the curtains behind them once the day starts.

itll be 100% more efftive if u put if over top of ur plants. or within a foot atleast

the humidifier is nice there though only for veg..dont run tht during flower or ull have mold.

thanks man, but i'm finally gonna roll with no artificial light at all since it seems to be such a butchering i'm doing to the plants

im finally gonna grab gonna grab 3 cfl of this kind andfind a way to hang them above the plant, would you reckon this is a good kind of bulbs ? ill be using 3 of them , the more lumen the better right ?
IMG_0626.jpg
also would a mix of sunlight (when available) and the 4500 lumens I'll be getting from the cfl be beneficial ? or should i stick with the cfl 24/0 instead

4500 lumens is a good starting point for them.
You can make a simple reflector like in the attached pic and it works.

thanks man thats a great idea, I was thinking of doing something similar but not as straight forward (folder aluminum paper) what are you guys thinking better of between spiral and u-shaped cfl ?

I used a similar vaporizer for humidity and it broke within 3 weeks. I think your best bet is to use that when you are sick... get a real humidifier before that one breaks.

you wanna lay those CFLs sideways man, ull only get 1/3 lumens tht way..good grow though :joint: use a beer can there a thread on how to do it on here..free and its the only way to get an efficient reflector cause u cant even buy em' for a 26w tht lays it sideways!! good luck man

I've been using that vaporizer for over 2 months for really prolonged periods and everything is cool

I'm now using 3 x1650 Lumens lights, thanks for the reminder Dutchmaster, I was planning on it but actually forgot .

hopefully now theyre gonna grow larger as I as believe they should be bigger than they currently are, new pics tomorow

hey everybody my plants are definitely growing rather slow (not a light thing) they grew up after the transplant a little but now seem to be very slow, i'm in day 8 after plantation of germinated seeds, I also noticed that their color isn't as dark as it should be, what should i do? nuting ? I read it might come of a little violent this early . PLEASE ADVISE.!!

they appear a tad darker in the photos

here's a pic update, I had to burry some of the soil to compensate for the extra length, I believe the plants are Sativa now (they got longer profiles). Also I Broke my rule which consisted of not spending much money on the project and see what I can get for almost close to no spending, I now have the 4 seedlings (can I still call them that ?) got the fixtures for lamps blus 2 cable extenders, plus a bottle of nutes + metal wires for building practical reflector and doing some LST if my plants make it to that stage (how early can I start), under 8250 lumens of lights (6500k ) which I also leave on during direct sunshine hours to add up to 18,000 Lm say 15,000 given that this is not perfection, most of the pics I see here or elsewhere have large robust stems hence me believing the plants to be Sativa.

It would be nice If I could get more answers from you readers as judging from the thread view count I get the feeling most of the questions (such in this reply) I ask come off as rhetorical whereas I need answers for them , thanks

if u bend the stem gently back and forth it was make it thicker and stronger..idk man its growing real slow probly do to lak of light. rule of thumb if 100w min and +50w every plant after per sq foot. soo im just guessing but i dont think u have enough light..and dont feed it yet wait until its got atlteast 5 nodes..i wud say 3 weeks but at the pace this thing is growing idk if itll be big enough at 3 weeks..what kinda soil? a pic of ur setup wud be nice if u want pointers..good luck

light is good man, i got 120w on about a square foot, could be genetics, will do at week 4 or 5 with the nutes, i'll just wait, to compensate I just repotted them with high quality soil (more like expensive soil) organic %85 mater its german, take a look at the pic for some info (everybody is welcome to contribute )

here a pic of my setup but thats during the day so they get light+sunshine. plants are at day 11 looking healthy but growing realllll slow !

aeration is good
humidity and co2 not so much !

ya as long as u can put u hand on ur canopy and its not to hot for u its no to hot for ur plant..i got a 125w CFL like 3 in maybe closer from the top of mine and its fine..just have a fan blowing over the canopy at all times and ull be golden. but ya CFLs arny good unless there within 4 in
