I sincerely hopes this works ... LED seems to have so many benefits over standard lighting ...

Bit off the track ... but a drove a new BMW recently with LED/Bi Xenon's fitted
I went into a tunnel ... the auto lights came on ... OMFGGGGG ... AMAZING difference compared to normal car lights
... It is a $3k option (LOL .. I laughed too ... wtf??? $3k for lights)

If LED has a similar impact in the hydro industry ... as it has done in building, cars, etc ... everyone within 5 years will use one of these to grow

aw man how long are you going to flower them for?
I think it will be around mid Dec.. I have to just wait and see, because these plants was sick at the start. They have been stressed out so much it will be amazing if I get anything off of them. Fingers crossed I will.

Hey Kenwood,
just bringing this up here so as not to take up irish's thread, but you were looking at a space of 12' x 10' yes?
is that the footprint you are looking for or is that the size of the room? what I mean is, does that include the space to walk around the plants?
just asking because I ran into the same thing and when I took away maneuvering space I ended up with a much smaller footprint to cover.
also, I taped out (masking tape on pond liner) the footprint that I wanted from each light on the floor and found if I manipulated them right, I would only have to purchase 7 more as opposed to 8 (extra bread for nutes, right?).
I have no empirical evidence for or against the hydro-grow led having the 2' x 3' footprint it claims, but I can say that the seedlings I'm working with now do reach toward the center of the light and are well within that footprint.
hope I could help...

The rooms is 12'x12' , right now we have 12 plants 3 rows 4 plants in each row. 4 1000w HPS. The Led I am testing is doing a good job, but you always have to keep your eyes and ears open in case something else is better. Especially since I am not working (Laid-off) money is tight and I need to get the best for less. I am also watching Rumples over at the other site (GC). I will take any info that anyone has.

how long has those led girls been flowering for?

its hard when you want somthing to work, but you have doubt. its even harder when you have every led company making the same hype as the others. plus their are only a few of the led grows online with these fourms.

i figure ill give it a shot this one last time and if i dont get great results then i am back to hps. maybe in the summer time when its 115F ill use the leds. but i want to atleast get 2-2.5 oz per plant or i am done with leds. or i should just go back to hps and deal with the heat.

That is the thing I do not want to stay with HPS we have lost to many good plants because of heat. The girls have only been flowering for 15 days I think I'll have to check log. One thing I have notice on my light is the 45 degree channel. The new ones will not have the channel on them so the light will have a bigger foot print. Thing is I can not afford another one. I need to see if Tim can help me out. Like Cammie has done for you and what Prosource is doing for Rumple.

Welp here is some pics from HPS site, I lost total of 3 plants. DAMN!
Also some small buds from LED test site.
Also some new White Russians in Veggie state with LED.
Ok so we put the 3 clones into veggie about 3 weeks ago and yesterday we put them in Flower mode. These plants are healthy, they are the ones in the tubes.

Man if this works and I dont have to buy another light even in 10yrs I'll be happy. So here are some pics of the new healthy ones and some pics of buds of the sickies. The sickies have about another 25 to 30 days of flowering.
That is really impressive. There are only 2 little LED bulbs per plant right? No matter... that is amazing. Those buds look real good. Hard to beleive.

I'm loving the updates by the way.
