New technique? (Doesnt have a name, lol)

so to sum it up, when you bury it on its side, you use the already developed root system to help form new roots for each of the branches that are growing up? the only thing that would come up as an issue in my mind is that each of the new plants will be very close together when they start growing but id love to see it in action

So planting the leaves still attached to a plant into soil will make them grow roots? I mean I'm a newbie but I find that very hard to believe... Got any reliable sources on this that we can see online?

Really man? gtfo out the thread...First of all, I already explained that it doesnt grow a new root system, it uses the already available one..ackass j.
Second of all, this has been done before, so stfu.

You get mad because someone questions your "technique" that nobody has ever tried and you made up in your head?

hahahaha ya thats smart. Your idea is retarded sorry to tell you. The branches and leafs would rot, this will not work. What your trying to do can be done by LSTING the plant.

what i dont get is. you keep saying they dont grow a new root system then you keep saying they become new plants.

hmm correct if i am wrong, who knows maybe i am just ignorant as you said, but dont all plant systems have roots.

therefor your so called new plants would have new roots.

no offense but your idea is a waste of time. good for trying to think something up, but what a stupid idea. instead of jumping down peoples throats on a message board why dont you try actually doing something logical like LST or cloning.

who the fuck would waste so much time getting their plant to be four feet tall than trying to bury half of it in effort to try to grow new roots out of node that is already connected to a perfectly fine root system.

you crack me up.

no matter what it will still be 1 plant, you think the other branches will magically sprout roots and disconnect from the main stem? If you want clones without taking them from the plant you want to AIR LAYER. Thats all this is, a poor modification to AIR LAYERING.

i read a post similar , were they take and tie down the plant and the top 1/4 is set down into soil , i think they were in alabama

Don't yell at him guys, he's just throwing an idea out there and remembers seeing it done.
If you had pictures, I'm sure they would believe you better.

The same concept is done with Roses and Tomato plants.
You have a plant with one long scraggly branch and instead of trimming it, take you foot and push it down into the ground, bury the middle section and it takes roots.
Cut it from the mother plant and you have another rooted plant.

But Cannabis isn't the type of plant which is practical to do this with.
Better results is cloning if you want more plants faster.
No risk of hurting Mother, Faster results developing little sisters.

It was a good idea worth mentioning. ;-)

I would clearly say this is yelling and not being very friendly.

the only way that I can actually see this happening, is if you cut each of the branches off (like you would with clones) and add a cloning hormone to each of the cut branches, whilst buring the hormone'd branches and tying the main stalk to keep the cuts below the ground. Then, take the cuttings from the branches and clone them indoors (if possible). In a couple of weeks, the cut branches will develop roots and start growing the upper nodes vertically.
IT's a pretty cool concept if you ask me, but a lot of disciplined efforts and work. And you get a shit load of clones outta this too! No waste! Just IMO...thats all...

Hoooly shit man..You really don't read either... 'Good for trying to think something up" This was NOT thought up, it was practiced.

Dude...you said the "new" plants use the existing root system... but you also said the main stem will rot (which effectively cuts off the new plants from the root system, right?)

Doesn't make any sense. If you want to clone a plant, just cut clones and root them. Seriously, this is a waste of a perfectly good 4-ft tall plant! All you get is a bunch of clones planted waaaay too close together for comfort, and you LOSE a 4 ft tall plant (that could be flowered and harvested before these new clones are even done vegging!)
