Looking good very good!
Thanks!.. Having a room inside of a building is proving to be pretty beneficial. I can chose to recirc the outer building air, or the grow room air, either way it brings in 1200 cfm into the grow room. It's been really cold here, but my room is maintaining 78. It's been a lot of work, and a lot of fun, gonna flip in about 2 more weeks.Looking good very good!
Nice work Aaron and thanks for sharing the progress can't wait to see more. Can I ask how many 550's you have per breaker? How are they all dimmed/ timed together?
Hey Bacon!.. thanks!.. I have 3 breakers for 18 of the HLG's running on 220 volts. That way I have plenty of headroom for more, as at 220 volts, they are only drawing 2.3 amps per fixture. Since this was a fresh build, I was able to wire it like I wanted. So I had the electrician separate the ceiling to 220, and the rest to 110 for fans, intake, exhaust, etc. The ceiling is on a digital timer, 11pm lights out, 5 am lights on, and I do not have them dimmed. As you can see, they are about 35 inches above the canopy which might be a bit too high, but nothing is reaching for light, and I will let them grow a little further into them before I move them up. Looking at about 2 more weeks, and I'll flip em' to flower.Nice work Aaron and thanks for sharing the progress can't wait to see more. Can I ask how many 550's you have per breaker? 20amp 240v breakers? Are the 6* drivers attached together then into a digital timer then the outlet? Or are the hlg fixtures each on their own timer?Hey Bacon!.. thanks!.. The ceiling is divided amongst 18 outlets, at 220v per, and a single HLG 550 at 220v per outlet, with 3, 20 amp breakers. All of the ceiling is tied into one single 110v digital timer. So, the ceiling goes on at 5 am, and off at 11 pm, for the next 2 weeks anyways. The rest of the room is at 110v for accessories like fans, intake fans, exhaust, dehumidifier, hot water tank (as required by law), one more breaker for the AC mini split at 30 amp/220v. The 18 outlets on the ceiling at 220v will draw about 42 amps collectively , so 13.8 amps per breaker (3) draw with 20 amp breakers, and 6.4 amps headroom per breaker. Make sense?20amp 240v breakers? Oh yeah.. Under the advise of my electrician, he advised me to upgrade to mechanical latch contacts instead of magnetic for the ceiling/timer. Over time, the magnetic contacts may not make great contact and the lights might flicker. The mechanical contacts make a beefy industrial "BOOM" when the lights come on and go off. Sometimes if Im working out there and loose track of time at 11 pm, it scares the shit out of me. I've learned to carry a flashlight so I can find my way to the exit.you are my hero ty for reply
I have just been curious about how the inrush current of these led drivers are on traditional b type breakers which your able to run 6drivers per 20 amp220v. That's an answer I like to hear
Beautiful, just beautiful !
Oklahoma ftwGreat information guys and gals! Time is going to be a crunch, so I better stay away from builds. The construction/remodel starts next week, with plumbers, framers, electricians, etc. and I cant wait to get this up and running! I am sure there will be trial and error, and I really appreciate you guys help and input! Hopefully we will be germinating in about 3 weeks. This will be a good jump start to market going into Winter, as i believe as the rules stand we'll be able to go outdoor in May. I have a lot more space outside! I dont know about your State, but this one has no grow limit, no qualifications on conditions for patients, the fees are low compared to other States, and the competition is going to be strong at first. I may do a construction/grow journal. Thanks again!
That is incredible good job man!A little update. Things are going pretty good. Vegged for 49 days, and now on day 17 of flower. It's getting tight and bushy in there. I go through 110 gallons of mix every 48 hours or so. Temps have stayed steady at 70-79 even when its in the lower 30's outside. I've topped, super cropped, and defoliated as needed. Hopefully we can just cruise on another 8 weeks and have a good finish.View attachment 4236789View attachment 4236790

Thanks man! It was a hell of a rush getting the building done in time, but once we got the intake, exhaust, humidity under control, it was just monitor and water and train. All you guys have been very helpful in my first indoor grow, and I want you all to know how much I appreciate it! You guys rock! That is incredible good job man!
I have no idea, I’ve not compared. I do know these have the latest Samsung 301b diodes.do those hlg's compare or are better then the new gavita leds?
looks great!

When I say mix, it may be 1/2 strength nutes, or just water and iron, or water and cal/mag at low strength.110 gallons of nutrient water every 2 days??
