New to growing, weird spots on leaf

Clones about a month in, grown in a hempy buckets, set up under LEDs, humidity between 55-70% at all times, day time temps between 76-78°, night time temps between 69-72°, full GH nutes two times, PH’d water every 3rd time, fed/watered after it almost finishes the reservoir. A few leaves getting these weird kind of brown spots with shiny spots all around it, don’t see any bugs, just making sure it isn’t anything to worry about. I not really present on many leaves, I cut the leaf with the most of it provided in the picture, and took a close up of the leaf with the second most of it, that one has mostly just the shiny parts. Hopefully just over reacting, I’m trying to make some quality plants and if there’s an issue I’d like to catch it early.

Do you have a microscope to get a real close look at the damage? That looks mainly internal to me. I know thrips burrow inside of the leaf similarly. Really tiny bug you generally wont see on the outside of the plant. That is not a definite, just a possibility. She still looking good.

I don’t actually! I’ve never needed one until I was about to harvest and I used my buddies for that, I’m going to order one though. Good call on the thrips it actually looks close to that, I don’t THINK it’s that though, it doesn’t look too much like thrip damage so hopefully it’s not. I’m going to monitor it though and buy a microscope in the mean time and hopefully I don’t see much more of it

It doesnt look like thrip damage. To tell the truth it looks like wind or mechanical damage. If the rest of the plant looks good And the damage if limited/ sporadic I would just keep a close eye on her and carry on.

So I did have some wind damage on some other spots before I adjusted my fan. Maybe I should turn my fan down? I have it aimed away from the plants after I noticed tears from it before but this damage looked different from that and had brown/shiny coloration and I didn’t think wind damage could look like that.

I’ve heard it works well but never used it, I know you have to be careful not to add too much and I try not to add anything like that to my plants unless I have to. I’ll keep some on hand though and watch them in case I feel like I need it

Gee Thanks for the link. Thrip damage almost always looks like a series is tiny necrotic spots in clusters or lines. They usually don’t coalesce Into big necrotic regions like these pics show. If they did coalesce it would indicate a severe infestation which would be more wide apread on the plant and not isolated to a few random leaves.

i usually look for the appearance of milk being spilt on it. usually means thrips
