Sublime, I am thinking you do not understand what he is talking about. He is not asking if you can grow a plant in one gallon. Or what ever you are thinking.. At least this is what I am thinking...lmao
He wants to know if he can successfully mature a plant in a general Hydroponics Waterfarm System. These systems use a 5 gallon buckey, which is the rez tank, and inside this fits a 2 1/2 gallon bucket with a bunch of holes in the bottom. I have two of them, they work great. You can start a plant in one of these very easily from seed, and it will grow so fast, and be so easy you will think you will be able to get rich from growing weed. BUT!!!!!! then you will hit the last 2-4 weeks of flowering, and all hell will break loose. You root mass will be so huge in the bottom that you 2 1/2 gallon rez is only now about 1.25 gallons, and your plant is going to be drinking most of this up faster then you can keep the PPM and PH under control.
All in all, it is a good system, but for me, I had to add another 5 gallon bucket to each one with a hose and valve just to keep all the PPM and PH under control.
For a first time grower, it is a great starter system, just be ready to add another 5 gallon bucket to it, and still have your work cut out for you in the last few weeks of flowering. Myself, I put them away and will stick to my larger flood and drain systems. But my system did not cost $50 either.
