Hell yea, I would never replace my hps, except with a bigger hps! Lol. Just like giving it friends to hang with (pun intended).

I guess it just depends on your overall goals and what you do with it. We needed to push our harvest due to certain restrictions. These BW Prime Crystal plants started vegging 17 days ago under (2) 1000W HPS hoods. Last night we flipped to flowering 12/12.

Transferred from clone closet under T5HO to the tent for vegging on Sept 26..

Last night at flip...

I believe they're doing pretty awesome for just a couple of weeks vegging after being hit with the borg.
I'm kinda worried the tent won't be big enough.. I'm guessing we'll barely be able to maneuver in there by mid flower cycle..lol

Just an FYI 24HRS of is a waste of energy 18/6 during veg. 12/12 for flower science has proven that plants can only intake so much light before they use that energy to grow during the off cycle and use a good organic soil not Miracle Grow to many additives and don't use nutes for at least 3-4 weeks
24 hrs is only used during our veg cycle to speed crop turnover. Usually we keep them in the clone closet (which is always on 24 hr cycle until they are approximately 5-6 nodes. These went a bit longer before we were able to transfer them to the big tent.

The advice you gave was great, I've seen a lot of folks trying to feed their plants to death or using soil that is way too rich. If the dirt is healthy, the plants will be, bottom line. Do you cut your FF soil? I've used it in the past and found it way too rich for my stuff. I just cut it with some good dirt from the garden that I baked for an hour to kill any bad bugs, then amended that with baked banana peels and spent coffee grounds. Those were my organic growing days ;)

HPS will always be a solution that scales well while producing results. There will be a time when we debate today's LED as antiquated. Sounds like you've been rockin it for a minute roseypeach; the "we" in this sounds adventurous. ;)

Love Roots Organic and SS #4 Advanced, that sounds like a nice mix with FF either way. Very nice.

I'll never go back to CFL's after my experience with HPS, that's for sure ;) Last grow we got just over 3 pounds between 2 plants, that's the kind of results I'm about! As far as experience goes, I've been growing for just over five years now.

Anytime brother
Thanks for all the tips :) I really appreciate it. I'm attempting to do 3 plants. Has anyone tried Northern Lights? That's what I'm growing. I'm sure I'll be back during my grow for any questions I might have. I love this site!!!!
I've never tried the NL myself but I've heard great things about it! Do you have a journal on here anywhere? If not, you should totally start a grow thread over here http://rollitup.org/f/indoor-growing.49/ just pick the right sub forum based on your lighting and medium used.
