New to Smoking & New to Growing

Yea when i ran it with no ducting it was crazy. Im really hoping my 6meter ducting with quieten it down. If not I'll have to have a silencer for it. The slight reduction in airflow shouldn't hinder it at all, i think it might be overkill for my current setup anyways

Yeah the ducting will help a bit, not sure if it will cut it all out though. It is major overkill for your setup but if you are looking to upgrade any time soon, you will need it anyway! No such thing as too much air movement anyway :)

Hmm that's usually a sign of nute burn...seems it didnt like the seasol yet! Just give it fresh water for the next week and it should be right!

I was pretty sure it had that before i added the same seasol but i could be mistaken :)
Either way i gave it a little watering and i also watered my second seedling that has just started sprouting.
I'm going on a long weekend away trip so i should hopefully see some nice growth when i get home. Fingers crossed!

i came home to a surprise, im starting to get allot of yellowing, not sure if i should water and open up the room to get some fresh air inside or if i should give her some more nutrients :/

Just hold off on the nutes for a bit mate, just freshwater for the next few waters and see if it rectifys itself :) nothing to stress about at this stage, they don't look too bad :)

yea thats true, the burn on each tip as well looks like its getting better as well. the yellowness struck me as odd but the tips getting better is a good sign :)

and this pic is of both sides of the plant, not comparing before and after :o

It does look like a slight nitrogen deficiency but in saying that, you gave it seasol the other day so that tells me its not, its more telling me its had a bit too much for a small plant. It looks more like a slight pH problem if anything. Nothing some pH'd water cant fix.

If ph'd water doesnt do the trick, give it another light dose of seasol and see if it is nitrogen deficient. Only time will tell mate!

just ordered a digital ph reader, that might help. maybe im color blind and cant read the strips :P

I won't lie, i didn't get a quality one lol
17 or 27 on eBay
Now that i think about it, those test papers don't work anyways lol. I mixed a cup of water with a teaspoon of pH down and it didn't register it at all. What a rip, glad it was only $4 :)

Haha yeah mine was only a cheapy too! Just make sure you keep calibrating the pen when you get it, mine spits out odd readings some times!

That's OK, it'll be easier to deal with a few pod readings compared to the shitty papers :)

OK and update on the plant, its colors haven't really changed at all today, i gave her a watering with a small amount of seasol and i didn't notice any harm with that and its been around 6hours since the watering. I'll check back in the morning and hope that it will help her a little.
Just waiting on my digital pH tester, once that comes in i should be able to get on top of the water situation better.

What does everyone use to keep their soil in the right temp range? The temperature is around 26 at the plants height where i have the tester set to but does that mean the wet soil would be around the same temperature as well?

Ha! Hell yeah man, will be a lot easier with a pen over the papers! And cheaper in the long run!

Cool, sounds good about the seasol watering too, just keep an eye on it and if it changes a lot just give fresh water :)

At this time of the year mate, i wouldnt worry about soil temperature. It would be well over 10 degrees during lights off due to ambient temps in your house ;)

Can't wait for this pH tester to cone in, if the seasol isn't burning and isn't turning it back green either then it would most likely be a pH issue. I have a feeling the original pH tester is shitty and doesn't work.
I'm hoping I'm right so i can make my plant healthy again :)

I wouldnt be too worried about it mate. If the seasol doesnt pick them up then yeah there is something else going on but its a simple fix and they should come back pretty well. There is a lot more of a buffer zone in soil too so it can be remedied fairly quickly with flushes of fresh water!
