ok so to get my growth up what do I need to do not Ive sorted the lighting?
replant? already?
add support.
keep them on a 19/5 cycle.

is there anything else that could be giving me runts? ive planted a bagseed as a control so that I can rule out the seeds if I get another runt.
how many lumens are running in your set up?? you want to be aiming for at least 3000 per square foot of growing area. with fluros you can put them alot closer to your plants aswell as they dont produce much heat so get them as close as possible.

also i would plant them straight from the pellets in to bigg pots like 2-3 gallon!! add a stick next to the plants and tie a piece of cotton round them.

how often you watering?

and 19/5 cycle if fine, they prefer anywhere between 24/0 and 18/6.

well the cfl`s are 100w equivelent, im not sure what the lumen is off the top of my head and im away at the mo.

any idea how many lumens is at 800W? there is 2 square feet of floor space in there.

Each 100w equivelent is about 1000 Lumen, but remember the light intensity the plant receive is subject to the inverse square law. i.e. The intensity of light or other linear waves radiating from a point source is inversely proportional to the square of the distance from the source; so an object twice as far away, receives only one-quarter the energy. I have my plants very close to the CFL indeed and works great :D

I made a 4xlamps reflector out of a single sheet of 0.5mm aluminium, with 3x30w and 1x25w daylight bulb mounted for vegging. + 2x18w warm white bulb. Here is 2 pictures.

I thing I can't help notice is that your seedling has a very long neck.

I hear you on the long neck! I think that might be from when I grew them for about 10 days without the cfl`s.
Hopefully they will be getting stockier as I type.
Once there is a bit more growth and they have beefed up a bit im going to transplant them to other pots, when I bdo this im going to bury some of the stem as suggested above so that I get abit more root.
Early new week there will the a 125 mm pc taking up residence :D
at first im going to have the fan pulling in new air and circulating it and then soon ill add seperate inlet and exhaust fans.

is there anything else I can do to beef them up? weight gain nutes?

Yeah, they been wondering where the fuck is the light? lol. anyway not much you can do in the mean time, you may get some grow enhancer like Nitrozyme, which mix a little with water to help all stages of plant growth, or similar product. One thing you don't want to do is add rooting hormone to seedlings when u transplant, its stun natrual root development and end up slow your grow, if it doesn't kill it. (yeah, guess who done it).

Im getting quite gutted about my grow now. The plants have had 3 days of 19/5 on 2700K with a total of 9600 Lumens spread over 2 square feet.
The growth is miserable!
Ive had no progress with the bag seed :(
Im considering adding one more lamp in the centre of the lighting board (with 8 100W equiv lamps on it already). As my current lighting is 2700K should I add at this wave length or add more blue light?
im thinking of adding one of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/125w-Red-Spectrum-CFL-hanger-hydroponics-grow-light_W0QQitemZ280417659292QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_HomeGarden_Garden_PlantsSeedsBulbs_JN?hash=item414a31e99c#ht_846wt_1165
Does anyone think this will solve my problems? i would probably sacrifice a couple of the existing lamps for this.
The lamps I have now are: http://www.sylvania-lamps.com/catalog/index.php?id=14099
Im also going to repot tomorow night but once
does anyone think I need more light or is there enough alreadY?

I would add more blue light. I grow with high powered lights but only use mh/hps or the dual spectrum bulbs. even tho they flower early they still need to grow so they are strong enough to flower. i usually swap from mh to hps after 2-2.5 weeks and by then they are 5-6 inches with plenty of leaves and a decent stalk.

Right ho,
I jumped in with both feet today and found my little guys had gotten a little warm but as they were severly stunted I transplanted them any way, ive not got too much hope for them so ive planted 2 more low ryders straight into the soil as back ups.
Ive been giving some thought to the problems people have with light on the roots in clear pots so the plastic pots are another benefit!
I did have the strip light across the back but read that the underside of the leaves are very sensitive to light so ive moved that to bounce the light from the top down the back of the cab.
On the lighting issue I have been victim to "the 'Bay" and invested in 400W`s of cfl`s finest in 2 bulbs. I think that one lamp will end up in the current cab, but the other one might find its new home in a PC case :D
There are fans on their way, 3 to be precise!
Ive now got 5 on the go:
the 2 original paper germinated, "special", stunted plants now in 5" pots
2 new low ryder seeds, germinated in the soil (under black plastic pieces to keep out the light.
1x bag seed (already planted in a glass tub :( ) ive got a piece of reflective plastic over the top but there might be some light getting in.
I hope this perks things up a bit. I might get another couple of seeds started in paper and then if the current cab doesnt work to plan then theres always the pc case.

I have not used any nutes for a good few days now.

Take a loot at the pics and tell me if there is anything im missing?
I dont seem to get many replies in this forum, not sure if its cos im a noob of cos im asking the wrong questions, would it be bad forum etiqute to start a new thread in the indoor forum?
