Nextgen 1000watt shit the bed!! anyone have one of these?

so this morning i noticed things running a lil hot INSIDE the tent, mind you the ballast is outside the tent right by the window under cool air.. so tonight when lights are about to come on... NOTHING!!!

the red light on the ballast is blinking i read on the back this either means it overheated.. which i dont think so cause its been off all day.. or the bulb possibly could be burnt out? its a hortilux super HPS with not much time on it and it was fine this morning when it went off. good thing i had some extra equipment to put up in the mean time. one 400w and a 250w hps . its no super hortilux but it will do for now.

anyone have any experience with these? did my ballast shit the bed? aAARRGG!!

If you go 3 days dark it will ( I just did this) turn your clear trichs cloudy and put more frost on your buds. I really tried this just 2 weeks ago with a LA Woman and I was quite amazed.

luckily i had an extra 250w and a 400w hps to frantically put up but im pissed bc this thing has only been up for like a little under a month. "brand new" off of craigslist. yea fuckin right... now i gota buy another $100 bulb just to see if i got screwed on the ballast. im livid

yea i might be able to swing something like that.. i just think its so fucked up that it just randomly decided it didn't want to turn on anymore. im hoping its the bulb even though those bulbs are rated to withstand unreal amounts of heat so.. im thinkin the ballast just shat the bed. or if its some cheap ass knockoff i got it relatively cheap but in no way inexpensive. and now the setup is useless until i spend more money on it. fuck..

im think im starting to understand why these damn things costs so much new

test the bulb with any other ballast. it should be able to run. however, dont test a 250 or 400w bulb in your 1000w ballast; that could be dangerous
My guess is that the craigslist guy lied to you and sold you an old bulb that burned out. also, bulbs have very short lifespans compared to a ballast.

Hey out of 100 BMW that r sold, its bound to happin that 1 of them r a lemon...so don't turn ur back on nexgen just yet...prolly just got a bad bulb...it happins...it sucks major ass, but it happins...next time u buy one, see about a waranty

Well, you bought it off of craig's list. It's not new, probably defective, no way for you to tell in advance, buy from reputable sellers who honor warranties.

Check with NEXGEN in Riverside, California where it was made.
