ohh and I too have started using the moth balls. They seem to work good just by themselves. I crush a few up with a pair of pliers in a perimeter. After loosing 40 or so clones. The moth balls work man. So far so good for my last run. Have a good one. Laters.

I get my seeds from multiple places and there are still quite a few places that I want to try out. A couple places that aren't mentioned much around here that have some good strains are

I still want to try Dr.Greenthumb and Sowamazingseeds. Sow Amazing Seeds mainly because its the only place you can get Cali Connection and Cash Crop Ken seeds with a credit card and Dr. Greenthumb because everything I have heard about his gear is that its top notch. Yep moth balls and Irish Spring soap baby, keeps everything away but rodents. No need to crush them up but hey whatever works just keep doing it.

Hey Nick im glad to see you getting such great service on the seed orders. Thats a nice thing to know. wanting to stuff a few more clones myself and shut down for a few months on the indoor. Thanks slab next time Im out there I will mulch them. One thing I learned digging holes in 90 degree weather is your body gets hot quick, Something that made all the difference was a wet t-shirt/small towel laid around my neck. I was over heating to much the first time I went out and a buddy of mine told me to try this and I can tell you helps big time. It really brings down your body temp and in turn you are able to do much more work. Im sure this is basic knowledge to most of you but for someone who doesn't know it can make a huge difference.

Dude I just hide some ZEER Pots near my grow and keep some extra gatorade on hand.....as long as you got water you got yourself a kick ass fridge in the field for free....just a suggestion dont know what your trying but check it out if your down!

Yep last year I was out digging during the heat wave. This year I've seem to be lucky missing the bad days. Been there bro, I feel for ya. It'll all come to forewishing. ooohhh yaaaaaa.

its funny you have the money to buy any and all sorts of strains.. yet you don't have a nickel to buy soil...

I love this thread but damn, your growing in clay I can tell, clay retains water way to much.. and allows for stunted root growth..
it also looks as you are overwatering.. cause puddles are lying around the clay.

How old are all of em just wondering?

My first spot was clay to which I added 1/2 peat moss and 1/4 compost then added 1/4 of the clay soil back into it. The second spot where most of my girls are going is not clay, the soil is like what you would find after a flood, it will not clump up and kind of felt like it would if you dug a hole at the beach but much lighter. The only time I go up to those spots is to water so inevitably I am going to take pics right after I water and it takes about a min. or 2 for 4 gallons of water to sink in. As far as not having the $ for soil it is not true, I just would have a very hard time getting it to my spot as I have to walk about a mile threw a swamp/marsh aka mud and water . If I were to carry soil to it I could at most carry enough for 3 holes at one time so for 30 plants I would have to walk 20 miles (10 there, 10 back) and that would just be way to much work. I would rather put more plants out and possibly yield less per plant...And all those plants are clones that have been sitting waiting to go outside for a month, they really should have been put out earlier but I didn't have time then. This is my first time growing bud outside so I am still learning and these spots are still fairly new to me. The plants I put outside I put out with the expectation that something eventually will happen to them, and thats OK because in no way do I actually need the bud or $ from them, although that doesn't mean I am not going to take care of them. It just means I am using this year as a learning experience for future grows.

At least your willing to experiment with your options there brotha.... you wont be dissapointed either way! This just means next year you'll have this grow under your belt and are better prepared for next season!

I went out to my second spot today, I was going to put in more girls but got side tracked because we had a pretty heavy storm a couple days ago and a lot of those 12 ft weeds around my plants had fallen over on to them. So I had to first find my plants and then take down a bunch of those weeds so my plants could get light again and to make sure it didn't happen again. Luckily None of the plants were really damaged and all are looking healthier than they did when I put them in. Anyways I left the plants I was going to put in at the site and am going to go there tomorrow to put them in. I will be putting in some auto's and some clones. I am almost out of the AN Heavy Harvest and plan to switch to something different for the rest of the grow when I have finished using it. Anyways I thought I would give you this mini update and let you know I will be doing a bigger update tomorrow. I plan on taking pics of the newly planted and the ones that have been in for a bit.

I also haven't been out to spot one for a while and plan on going there tomorrow night to see whats up. I think it has been raining enough for them but I won't know for sure till I go out there. Hopefully everything is doing fine out there but we shall see. I will try and take pics of those too if I can.

PS 4 out of 5 grapefruit diesels have sprouted they are not feminized so I may only have 1 or 2 females... So I may decide to keep them for inside I'm not sure yet.

The G X D does fucking awsome outside. As for the heavy harvest I knew you wouldn't be happy with it. If your looking for something good try Marine Cuisine from fox farm.

I actually haven't had a problem with the heavy harvest yet but I trust your judgment so thats why I'm switching over. I plan to be using Age Old Organics liquid fert. starting in July for spot 2 and probably Marine Cuisine and Fox Farms Peace Of Mind line for spot 1. Both Age Old and Peace of Mind I use in my indoor grows so I feel comfortable with them. And yes I pick up my red cups I just had them there till I put in the name tags. I still haven't been able to make it up to spot 1, I tried to go during the day today but one of the farmer's near the spot was out so I didn't want to take the chance. And I took pics of spot 2 but after planting them I didn't have time to take pics of the plants I just put in which were 10 clones and 8 auto's making the total around 70-71 plants so far. Anyways here are the pics of spot 2, FYI The white spots you see on all the plants is pollen.

These next 2 are having problems, 1 because the stem snapped but she seems to be coming back and the other I'm really not sure why < She had a bunch of weeds fall on her but looked fine the day before but I guess didn't like the fact that I took them off her because she is wilted now and I don't know if she will survive.

I also have 1 plant in spot 2 that is MIA after the bad storm a ton of those 12 ft weeds were knocked over so much so that I had a really hard time finding my paths and plants. I looked for about a hour for her but can't seem to find her so I guess I will just keep a look out for her whenever I'm out there. Anyways that's the update I will be going camping this weekend but when I get back I will get out to spot 1 and take some pictures < Hopefully they are all still fine. I will also be adding more plants to spot 2 and will take pics of the stuff I just planted. I also need to get something for bugs, only a couple have bug damage but I don't want it to continue.
