Why roll your eyes at him when he mentioned a breeder pack??
I guess you'll do the same to me but I only deal with banks that ship in original breeder packaging. It is one of my deciding factors when paying very good money for seeds.
There is absolutely no reason to open perfectly good breeder packaging unless you're trying to bait and switch or you're trying to increase stealth, and in all honesty you can ship in numerous stealth methods without having to break breeder packs open. And even if you're dealing with a trustworthy seller, mistakes do happen. I've purchased seeds many times over the past thirteen years from numerous sources. I can say with absolute certainty there were times where I had ordered multiple strains and received seeds which were all identical in every single way from seed to harvest, no matter the supposed strain. If it happens to you, you'll get the "it must have been a packaging error" bullshit but that's still a very large waste of time, and money. Even if they make it up to you. But remember..... you're purchasing "novelty" items that are not meant for germination. You're pretty much out of luck. For this reason alone I avoid the risk.... I feel better knowing I am getting exactly what I asked for if they are sealed at the source. Also... knowing I am not spending the next few months growing some random bagseed is comforting to me. I've never been offered a good enough reason for someone to open and repackage my purchase which is why the first thing I ask when ordering from a new source is "Do you ship in untampered breeder packs?". If they do not respond or they say they repackage.... I go elsewhere.
