I've run gear from Nirvana in the past with no issues.
I also agree with 40Amp, there are plenty of domestic sources to get fire genetics.
Advice from someone not new:
You live in the United States. Our genetics are completely dominating industry and it isn't a marketing gimmick. The quality is incredible. You are new, start off with the best in the world. There's no reason to transport yourself back 30 years to European genes. Don't waste your time and money on inferior products. Just my 2cents. I respect nirvana and the time they've spent in the game but they are like all the other Euro breeders when it comes to ethics and what genetics actually are. Seeds are cheap enough stateside I see no reason to buy from them and take customs risk.
I don't really understand this mindset. What is inferior about the cannabis genetics in Europe? The more research that comes out about cannabis genetics the more and more all these "strains" or cultivars seem to be the same. I don't see how spending $120 on 7 feminized seeds is better than getting 20+ seeds from Nirvana of multiple "strains". I would rather spend $120 if I was a new grower having multiple seeds to go through as opposed to spending a ton of money on seven seeds. At the end of the day I could hand the cheapest seeds to a good grower and they will produce something that smokes great.
You know what they always say. Good genetics poorly grown is always better than inferior genetics grown great.I don't really understand this mindset. Because it's not the initial investment in seeds that is your biggest cost. Out of the money I spent to get started, work through my problems, upgrade equipment, and get my environment dialed in, seeds only accounted for about 10% of my initial cost, and they were $88 for 8 feminized seeds (plus 3 freebies from breeder), plus freebies from JBC seeds (fire). You're only talking $8 a seed, and if you have good genetics, its one less thing you have to battle during your first few grows. Use the freebies to get your feet wet, then pop the expensive beans
If you only veg for 45 days, and are lucky enough to harvest at 8 weeks, that is 101 days from seed to harvest. Thats at least 101 times that your gonna check in your plants, and train, and feed, etc... and when something goes wrong, or your plant herms 4 weeks into flower, or the structure isn't good, growth is slow, etc... for 101 days you're gonna wish you had dropped a few more bucks. Because after 3 and a half months of tending to your plants, working through problems, and bringing her to the finish line, the last thing you want is to be disappointed. Imagine spending all that time and money, for results that are way more expensive, and of lower quality than you could purchase.
Break it down into days. 101 days, $8 per seed, thats 7 pennies a day to have peace of mind with quality genetics. And to be honest, I don't know much at all about Nirvana or what they offer. But there is a place to use discounted items, and places not to. I wouldn't recommend skimping on the actual plant your growing.

You can buy 3 packs of Nirvana and sift through to find a decent keeper or you could buy a 7 pack of CSI gear, start 3 seeds and have a hard time chucking 2 plants away.
