They have a divisive attitude in general. If you dare to disagree with them on anything, and don't denounce what they denounce, you're somehow the enemy.

if you have been diagnosed with an illness in cannada..you can grow and make your own.

or buy from a friend...thats what friends are for

Personally, I don't want a criminal record and everything that goes with it, like my job lul, so I've no interest in risking everything. I got my prescription and use Aurora in Alberta. I grew my own almost 20 years ago.

If My doctor approves how can they deny me? do I need to have cancer? Dispenceries give it away? I thought they they charged money. What's the difference? I don't understand.

LP's try to grow their own....most dispensaries source their product via experienced farmers...you could also get a designated grower to grow for you...take care Kate.

Lps are allowed to deny you if they so choose so DONT COMPLAN YOU GOT MOLD OR shwag meds(Crap medication that wont help anyone) you cant see it first hand after all
No you do not need an illness like cancer..relaxing and migraines it can be prescribed for
Dispensaries GIVE YOU CHOICE where the LPs do not
 
To understand what your options are it's helpful to know what the legal situation is, so here's a short summary (I don't recall the dates of past cases off the top of my head but these are in chronological order):

R v Parker - Cornerstone of medical cannabis precedents, established a blanket prohibition with no medical exemption is unconstitutional
R v Mernagh - Established doctors / nurse practictioners as definitive gatekeepers
Allard et al v Canada - Established a blanket ban on home growing is unconstitutional

Now, for your sources of cannabis:

Licensed Producers - Large companies that mass produce, 100% 'legal', some keep original strain names, others re-label them with their own names
Dispensaries - Known as the 'grey' market, currently the only way to see your cannabis up close before paying for it, some test their product, some don't, a brave few consider themselves 'recreational' dispensaries in that they only ask for proof of age

For 'legal' home production, you need to register in the latest iteration of the medical cannabis program, known as the ACMPR. You have 2 options:

-Personal Production, or growing for yourself
-Designated Production, or having someone else grow for you
