Re the pic of your setup. I would not put lights under the grow but either side or top and if scrog I would just do overhead. Looks good so far, I'm amazed your not having root issues due to a warm res.

Yeah, I think it's due to the fact that I have been putting a frozen water bottle in once a week and letting it melt, then replacing it

Ummm what are the plastic tubes, aero garden tubes? Can't see any good happening with the roots using those

Not sure if it's possible to remove those tubes without hurting the roots but if you can you should. Also it looks like they are already in trouble. If you can't keep res below 70 and are not running bennies you are going to struggle IMO.

So these are the ladies so far. Couldn't remove the tubes, but I am keeping the res cool with frozen water bottles. I'm just going to try and get through the flowering phase right now. Will try and keep them as happy as possible until they're done.
And I made an improved/improvised light reflector hood unit for the hps. Tell me what you think??

Dude, your doing great, for what your working with. hats off to you.
Just get your electrics above the water line and watch those rez temps.
People don't appreciate the fact that some of us don't have big fancy grow shops to work with or amazon to buy parts from.
