Well I thought it might after a long dark period then back under strong lights, ill get it back under the light and see what happens I guess, it must be about a week from ready now the buds are insanely huge
Revegging occurs when there are short dark hours, 6ish,some strains longer. I'd be surprised if you had a week with the amount of white hairs you have.

Yeah well its an experiment as its flowering wayyyyy longer than it should be, I did that to start the new grow so I got it in darkness for the final week as its meant to of been ready by now but its not so its messing up all my plans lol. Just keeps growing even in darkness
You have been reading breeder's estimates and believing them. They are works of pure fiction. There is no "flowering wayyyyy longer than it should be", plants only flower for as long as they need to.

You say it has had 13 weeks of flower, I reckon it has had about 8, tops.

When you set the timer to 12/12 doesn't mean it is automatically now flowering, it can take up to a couple of weeks for them to get going. Then there is all sorts of variables that can prolong or shorten the flowering time. Then you put it in the dark?? Turn the lights on, keep feeding until it is ready.

OK so I'll get it back under the light and leave it til its done I guess, crazy long flowering though and under a marshydro ts3000 so im not sure why its taking so long, ill post a pic of how it looked a like 10 days ago, it looked more ripe than now which is why I'm so confused. Atleast it will be the biggest buds I saw before lol

Its had flowers since August 10th mate, so yeah definitely not 8 weeks, it had pre flowers in July for ages as I thought they were autos but eventually made them 12 12 as they just kept throwing pre flowers but no flowers. So ok fair enough its not ready I get that, so just getting it back under the light's will be fine ? And won't herm or anything? It can't be far away from ready the buds are gigantic

That has all the hallmarks of a long flowering sativa in structure and flower time
Maybe just a pheno but it’s not an indica
Well they are supposed to be northern lights from a seed bank in sealed package, they are super tall because I kept them in veg for ages thinking they were autos but eventually realised they aren't and got them under 12/12

I mean, you're going to get a shit ton of weed, just be patient. Why do you think the light choice would make it flower faster?

Best advice I can give you is stop looking at the calendar.
Yeah i know they can go much longer but was thinking its too long as it is growing unusually to me, I thought it would be ready weeks ago lol. And the amber trichomes throw me off as I thought that means its ready but hate harvesting with white hairs so it confused the shit out of me

UPDATE, it seems to be finishing off now, most of the buds are beginning to ripen it seems, getting it back in the tent was the best way :) ill keep it going a few more days and re evaluate then
Keep going - NL has thai lines ( sativa / fox tails / etc ) and easily can go 16 weeks.

Breeder harvest estimates are just BS / hype.
Plant finishes when it finishes. Keep feeding it and under light cycle 12/12 or 10/14 for a few more weeks. Dont kneecap yourself. Plant gives zero shits on grow week.

Although many strains can “ still “ have pistil growth at maturity - best to let her keep eating and blooming.
especially if plant hasnt stopped moving forward.

Foxtails happen ( genetics ) with sativas under most situations- your grinder will care less at the end :bigjoint:

Most of pistils will color off and recede back. The bud apex ( tips ) may have the last white pistils at harvest sometimes because of the light’s efficiency at the tops.

Hi all, I've grown Northern Lights 3 times now (growing now as well) and there is a problem.....

It's not the OP alone here, many people have problems with certain NL strains not finishing as they should. I know, I've been there and done that many times !

After scrolling through countless NL grow journals ( at least 100) I tallied the average finisihing time at 65-75 days, (from 12/12) 13 Weeks is way too long for this strain and if you keep waiting, you'll find you never get there.

I go 10 weeks and harvest when trics are cloudy with a few amber. For some reason the amber trics are all over the sugar leaves but never make it to the buds. You wait and wait and wait they never come ! I also notice that after around 10 weeks, my plants water consumption drops drastically when the plant is on its last days... This is a good sign that your plant is on its last days, watch the water consumption.

I woudn't wait for Amber on the buds, harvest cloudy and when the pistols have started curling in, around day 65-75 at the most ! And the good news, the quality of these buds with cloudy trics is amazing !

Here are some NL buds harvested after 10 weeks.... Yummy ! (this is longer than most wait in flower for this strain)

Sounds like it's not fully ripened if the amber is on the leaves and not the buds.
