Interesting read. Very much like the Zimmerman case. Not guilty. Oh, the humanity... :-(

Notice that Mr. Scott has a noticeably unbroken nose, and noticeably unabraded skull. He was acquitted of manslaughter because he reasonably feared great bodily harm or death at the hands of a 17 year old boy who never laid a hand on him.

Here is another case that is similar to the Zimmerman case. In this case a fifteen year old boy was shot to death. Mr. Crump was tried and acquitted. Mr. Crump was never touched by the "troubled" fifteen year old boy.

Every incident has different circumstances, but this case is similar to the Zimmerman case in many ways.

The Roderick Scott case is also quite similar to the Zimmerman case.

In both of these cases, the defendants were acquitted based on self defense, just like Zimmerman.

if zimm had handled things like scott did, no one would be dead.

and the scott case involved an actual thief, unlike the martin case, which involved an innocent child wrongly profiled, harassed, and chased by a cop wannabe vigilante.

so if your kid is walking home and a creepy stranger starts to follow him in the dark in his own neighborhood while he's doing nothing wrong, and your kid runs and the guy gets out and follows him, does you child have no right to self defense? should your kid be fearing for his safety from this creepy stranger, or do you want your kid to just be easily accessible to any garden variety sexual pervert that sees him as a delicious victim?
