c'mon guys.... the landlord is coming to look at the property HE/SHE owns. not go through YOUR stuff. plain brown boxes in a closet don't mean shit to the landlord. he will be looking for structure damage and/or workmanship in how his property was repaired and maintained.

Box the plants up and put an air freshener next to the box. Hide everything else but the tent. Hang some clothes in the tent. If he sees the tent and asks about it, you can tell him about the amazing free portable closet a friend gave you and open it to show him the clothes.

Put them in the dishwasher and shut the door it seals up. He aint gonna look in there he is looking at structural. He aint going to open up shit he wants to looks for holes in the wall nasty carpet etc and make sure you are keeping everything as it was given to you. Pull up your panties and quit worrying.

I would not chance that, If I was a land lord I would want to look in the attic to check for leaks , mayabe check out the HVAC system, or even just the plumbing since work was just done

Think twice about putting the plants into an appliance. I'd bet the landlord owns those too, which would give them reason to check inside.
