....this is not the fire backdrop......but this hot little bitch almost made it!......but she got a pretty cool backdrop anyway....she has 5 more days to go, but i wanted to catch her while she was still perky.
 
....i don't really know how to use my camera properly yet, and am pretty frustrated about it......i really need to take a class.....they just arn't coming out of my camera right, i have to do a fair ammount of color adjusting, to get them to look acceptable, and then they end up taking on a surreal look, which i am not pleased about...........i really want to pick subcool and hoverings brains on how to get those real, true, natural looking shots....i need to start experimenting with flash options.....right now i am just using a cheap ringlight, and cfl backlighting........yeah, they are over-contrasted, and lack depth.....it is a depth issue.....the flav shot is the only pic i managed to capture any depth, without any major shadowing.
 
It's fairly easy to get some depth in your pics, just step back a bit and zoom in. should put a nice fuzzy background there for you. I have been fucking around a lot lately, just finished up my photo area (lights, black felt background, elevated base, etc). I never did a lot of indoor stuff, just outdoor & portraits.

I once saw hovering say "More light, more light, more light" or something to that fashion, lol.

subcool is an artist, so that is whom he attracts.....developing an eye for dank is not any different then developing an eye for art.....i have always been an artist, but wood was my medium for many years.....i am really excited about exploring photography.....and dank for that matter!:-P
 
I'm a social artist. The internet takes away from my true abilities... Damn you lack of body language and eye contact!

lol, one can always have more lights. more isn't always better. . . I feel like most of my best shots have 4 or less lights on them. Once you start adding gels, tho, I guess I can see how things would change. I like to try and keep a dialed color palette that reflects the strain, tho. That is just me, and there are a million ways to skin a cat.

nugs, I really like the stuff you've been doing. when you're shooting in open shade, try and set your camera's white balance to open shade... you'll find it warms up your images. And honestly, I like the ring flash. Medshed uses it quite a bit when he's shooting, and gets some great results. Keep it around, as it always works as a great fill light once you start getting a little bit more comfortable in what you're doing.

What kind of camera are you shooting with, btw? Canon or Nikon?

Nugs, your shots are killer dude. I love checking out your photography and everybody ends up with a certain "look" to their work. Keep it up bro.

I use a single large light source. A softbox on a speedlight, off camera. Getting as large a light source as possible will replicate beautiful sunlight like our eyes enjoy, "wrapping" the light around your subject.

Use a grey card to set your white balance to get true color.

I keep an eye on The Strobist Blog http://strobist.blogspot.com/ A great resource for DIY photography, with ways to make expensive tools at home for cheap.

I feel you nugs i just got a Canon Rebel t2i and I feel lost.

I'm looking into taking a two day class at a local community college that gives you a basic understanding of how to work your camera maybe they have something like that near you.

Just letting everyone know that the zombie apoc has hit the east coast. Seriously stock up on bud and fill those seed banks it's about time to bring it all back to nature within your guarded communes! No more electricity after a while. So we gotta rely on a crop a year to get us through the year. WE have an invaluable tool! we can grow stuff! We can grow Weed. Nothing has happened on this planet without mind altering substances and this will include zday. I will be high most of the time!
