Nuitrients every water? When in flower...

I’ve been given tips for both but curious as I’m new to this if one is better then the other ?
Soil grow.
Week 3 of flower.
Currently feeding twice and watering once a week.

How much are you feeding with each water? Are you soaking pots or just giving them a certain amount each time?

I have read grows , where the grower used a simlilar method, lowering dosage but feeding with every water. In the end he said he was going to switch back to feeding nutes every second watering for future grows, but he did get to harvest with decent enough weed if i recall.

watering soil three times a week seems kind of excessive to me, unless you have large plants in small pots...otherwise, they can't possible have time to dry out at all between waterings if you're watering every other day....
i'd feed on monday (or w/e day) then water with ph'ed water on thursday....and to be honest, i wouldn't even try to water on the same days every week, id feed once, wait till they're dry, then water once, wait till they're dry, then repeat....

Ya thats why i asked how much water he was giving them.

I water my plants when the pots dry out, usually takes 4-5 days. they are also week 3 flower in 5gallon fabric pots .

so far i have been feeding nutes every second watering and these girls seem to like it. I think every strain/plant will vary and will usually find a way of telling you what they can and cant handle .

5 gallon pots too, they seem to be good I usually go by weight of the pot maybe I could increase the amount of water and miss a day.

are you watering to runoff?

i assume not, cant see plants 3 week into flower drying out 5g pots in 2 days? seems quick , or maybe mine are drying slow lol

what are you temps and rh normally?

high temps and lower rh will obv cause faster drying too i would imagine.

im still new to this game too, so im very curious lol

if they're actually drying out between waterings, then that's good enough. if it only takes them two days , then water every two days, but if 5 gallon pots are drying out in two days, i'll bet your RH is very low. i try to keep my flower room in the 40% rh area...thats plenty low enough for pm and mold to not be a problem, but not so low that it causes the plants to over transpire, or get leaf edge curl
having the rh too low can cause leaves to burn. they have to transpire in low rh, and all they have to transpire is what you're feeding them, so leaves can build up toxic amounts of salts in low rh and burn themselves from the inside out

Was wondering if you "mist" the plants outside of the tent once or twice a week? Seems like that might help keep the plants health up.......I'm new to indoor grows so I'm learning a bit more daily.

Yeah the proper way would be to pick up the pot and feel if it is light (dry).

Feeding every water is ok too. It really depends on how much ppm there is in the water and if you sre getting runoff (flushing) each time. As long as you aren't accumulating excessive fert in the medium that plant should be happy.

According to my hygrometer my house is at 26 to 28 RH.......so at least the room the tent is in is ok. I thought it was a bit dry in here but dayum thats really dry.

i've been testing this out myself with my current grow. you can check it out in my signature.

i feed about 1/8th the dosage of base nutrients every watering every 3 days. biggest issue i've seen since was leaves got super dark and starting to curl wihch typically indicates nitrogen toxicity. 1/8th strength is fairly weak but you need to take into consideration i been feeding them since they were small. did the research on my soil it isn't pre charged from what i know and read. the clawing has seemed to subsided on the leaves that had clawing but i do see EXTREMELY slight tip burn. it's so little that i would have to literally get a close up just to show you and without a close up you likely couldn't even tell.

i do plan to run it lower but still continue this feeding schedule/experiment. will be running 1ml base nutrients instead of 2ML. 2ml = 1/8th i do not water to flush. i am running pro mix HP but treating it like coco in the sense i never let it dry out completely thus why i water every 3 days the top will dry for sure but the inside is still moist enough to run a 4th day before needing watering. i also feed every watering as stated kind of like what you'd do in coco i believe ( i dont grow in coco ).

my theory with this feeding schedule that i plan to test out is that by feeding lower dosages but constantly the plant will be healthier and if it does succumb to nitrogen toxicity as it grows over the days it will easily out grow said issue. my last feeding i did up the dosage to 3ML though so swapping to 1ML this feeding imo makes up for it then depending how they look in another 4 days i will either stick to 1ml or go back to 2ml.
