The LIBERALS on the Supreme Court recently voted that states like California and Montana have no legal right to decrim marijuana as they have wanted. The LIBERALS voted that federal laws supercede state laws.
ALL the CONSERVATIVES on the Court voted FOR states rights,ie; if they want to decrim or legalize pot it's okay.
ONLY the Supreme Court has authority to set the laws straight.
No, it's YOU who votes against his own self interest on the pot issue.
It's the CONSERVATIVES, Scalia, Thomas, Roberts, who want you to have he right to smoke pot.
ALL my friends are Republicans and they all smoke pot. Lawyers, successful business people, millionare ex-drug dealers, business owners.

Personally, I could care less who people in other countries want elected in my country. The last thing I'd want for us is the 25% unemployment rate in France, the gulags in North Korea, or the 70% income tax rate in Sweden.

Oh you may want to Google it Brutal; the confirmation is out there somewhere. I will guaranteeyou that ALL the Libs voted against Calif laws and all the Cons voted for. This happened in the last 2-3 years.
Do you think Obama would appoint a Con to the Court and that things would get better with those who believe in federal power?

Here's how the decision came down:

Stevens was joined by the court's three other consistent supporters of federal power, Justices David H. Souter, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen G. Breyer. He also picked up the votes of two justices, Antonin Scalia and Anthony M. Kennedy, who usually support states' rights.

Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist and Justices Sandra Day O'Connor and Clarence Thomas dissented.

Man, you must be one toke over the line. Republicans have always been anti-pot, remember, it was Nixon that started the war on drugs, Henry J Anslinger the first drug Czar, was definently republican, he was the one man responsible for making pot illegal, republican all the way. Maybe your republican friends smoke pot, but the ones in power are not about to legalize it, wake up.

Vi- Rhenquist was DEAD when this latest decision was made only 2 years ago.

Medicine: Nixon, Anslinger only ENFORCE the laws of the court. They don't MAKE the laws. Nixon wasn't a Conservative anyway, he was a Republican.

It all comes down to states rights. Libs/DEMs want FEDERAL power to prevail; Cons want staes and peoples rights to prevail.

How does stealing your money help stimulate the economy?

Don't you have better things to spend your money on, like food, gas, alcohol, pretzels, whatever. Stuff that is actually produced by people that work for private companies, that work for a paycheck. That's stimulating the economy, people buying stuff.

The government just steals your money, and everyone else's, presenting a tremendous drag on the economy, and slowing down growth. The government doesn't know how to use your money wisely, only you know how to use your money wisely, because you know what you want or need, and it's your money.

Not my money i'll never buy smoke from a clinic wherever they would sell it.

So you rather smoke it illegally?
It makes no diff to me I'm going to smoke/grow regardless of what they do.

I don't know much about where my taxes go to but if they had more I thought it would help, I guess not

No, I think it should be legalized, but the taxes on it, (and everything else) need to be severely limited.

But I was trying to make a point about the habit Democrats have of continuously raising taxes. Then again, there are some Republicans with the same habits.
